'Glad she's okay': Internet sends love to Olivia Munn as she reveals her battle with breast cancer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a heartbreaking health update, Olivia Munn revealed that she privately battled an "aggressive" type of breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.
The 43-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 12 to open up about her health issue as she wrote, "I was diagnosed with breast cancer."

"I hope by sharing this it will help others find comfort, inspiration and support on their own journey," she added.
Inside Olivia Munn's breast cancer diagnosis
In her Instagram post, Munn shared a selfie of her in a purple gown lying in a hospital bed.
The post included a lengthy statement detailing her diagnosis which she disclosed she got in April 2023.
Munn revealed that she had undergone a total of four surgeries in the past 10 months, according to The Sun.
The 'New Girl' actress revealed that she took a Breast Cancer Risk Assessment gene test in February 2023 and tested negative.

"My sister, Sara, had just tested negative as well. We called each other and high-fived over the phone. That same winter I also had a normal mammogram. Two months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer," she said.
Noting that her risk was 37 percent, Munn expressed her gratitude to her doctor who decided to calculate her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment score.
"The fact that she did saved my life," the actress wrote, adding, she had a double mastectomy 30 days after her biopsy.
"I went from feeling completely fine one day, to waking up in a hospital bed after a 10-hour surgery the next," she wrote.
Olivia Munn wants women to have options for early diagnosis of breast cancer
Emphasizing the importance of detecting the disease early, the actress shared, "I'm very lucky. We caught it with enough time that I had options."
Munn said she "wants the same for any woman who might have to face this one day."
The 'Newsroom' alum ended her post by thanking people who supported her throughout her breast cancer journey.
She thanked her husband John Mulaney for taking care of their two-year-old son and being there by her side.

"I'm so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and medicine meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect," Munn wrote.
"For being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcolm so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes," she added.
