Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones filmed kissing scene for 'Twisters' that never made it to the screens
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones opened up about their scrapped smooching scene from the recently released film ‘Twisters’. The stars sat for an interview about their latest release with director Lee Isaac Chung.
The pair revealed that although the movie does not end with their kissing scene, they filmed the scene. In the final version, however, a different scene made its way into the final visage.

During an interview with the stars, Chung candidly discussed the film’s ending.
In ‘Twisters’ Edgar-Jones, 26, plays a retired tornado-chaser Kate, who returns to the business after a devastating experience. Powell, 35, on the other hand, essays the role of Tyler, a social media star who joins the same chase as Kate.
Tyler runs through an airport at the end of the movie to find Kate. But just like in a romantic movie, the couple doesn’t kiss when they find each other. However, according to the stars, they did shoot an alternate ending in which the duo kiss.
Powell joked about their kiss getting scrapped from the final cut, saying, "I'm taking a little offense that they didn't want to use it. Maybe it's just my abilities, I don't know.”
However, the director, Chung, envisioned a different ending altogether. He told the outlet that he had a different reason to have the pair run off together toward another storm instead of just smooching and walking toward the proverbial golden sunset.
The 45-year-old director shared, "I actually tried the kiss, and it was very polarizing — and it's not because of their performance of the kiss.”
He added, "This [no-kiss shot] was the other option that I had filmed on the day, and I got to say, 'I like it better. I think it's a better ending.'"
This vision also received a vote of approval from Edgar Jones, who shared, "It felt nice and refreshing to not have to end up on that beat because what you're ending it on is two individuals who are so equal in their love and interest and intelligence and understanding of weather.”
Chung further pointed out that the film’s original ending gave Kate a bigger purpose in life, saying, "If it ends on the kiss, then it makes it seem as though that's what Kate's journey was all about — to end up with a kiss.”
"But instead, it's better that it ends with her being able to continue doing what she's doing with a smile on her face,” explained the director.
Glen Powell reunites with Tom Cruise
