NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: NFL legend Deion Sanders made a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ recently and paid a huge compliment to host Robin Roberts, stating, "I love me some Robin Roberts."

The American Football legend is currently the head coach of Colorado Buffaloes football and the subject of a new Amazon Prime documentary to be out soon.

During Monday, December 4 episode of the morning show, Sanders appeared via video chat and Roberts took the chance to aim a slight dig at her absent co-star Michael Strahan by telling Sanders that now she didn’t have to fight for his attention.

NFL legend Deion Sanders ‘loves some’ Robin Roberts

Sanders made a guest appearance following the morning show's 'Deals & Steals' segment.

Upon joining 'GMA' anchors Roberts, Linsey Davis, and George Stephanopoulos, the 56-year-old NFL legend offered a heartfelt compliment to Roberts shortly after being introduced.

"I love me some Robin Roberts! I just want the rest of you to know that" Sanders, nicknamed Coach Prime, told the on-air ‘GMA’ team.

Robin reciprocated the feelings and replied that she "loved [Coach] Prime right back.”

She added that she was happy that she got to interview Sanders without Strahan being there.

"I'm glad Michael's not here, so I don't gotta vie for your attention," Roberts said.

While Strahan continues his after his extended absence last month, Roberts confirmed get would be back on sir soon.

Robin Roberts and Deion Sanders' interview brings joy to 'GMA' fans

One fan said that Coach Prime echoed the same sentiment that many ‘GMA’ fans feel. “This is so so sweet! Because same Prime!

A second wrote, "Who doesn't love Robin Roberts though???” A third stated, “Deion shootin' his shot lol,” while a fourth added, “This interview was exactly what I needed to see this morning. The two of them made me smile” 

A fifth simply mentioned, “This interview had me smiling big. I love Robin and Prime!!!”
