NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ correspondent Deborah Roberts recently shared an update about her cousin, Tina who is battling cancer.

The 63-year-old took to Instagram to talk about a small milestone in her cousin's life. Tina completed her session of chemotherapy and walked down the hallway in the hospital.

She also rang the bell which signifies the completion of a round of chemo or another important treatment milestone in a cancer patient’s journey.

Roberts shared a clip of Tina doing the same and later shared a post on her Instagram, embracing and supporting her cousin during these tough times.

‘GMA’ Deborah Roberts shares video and snaps in support of her cousin

Roberts shared a clip earlier where she hailed Tina for completing a round of treatment for her ailment.

She captioned the clip, “Tina’s Tuesday Triumph. She didn’t want to be part of this 'ring the bell' club. No one does. But here she is”

In the video, Roberts said, “Bravely and boldly completing one phase of her cancer journey as she awaits the rest. I’m so very proud of and prayerful for my big sis as she shows us what true courage is.” 

“Despite roadblocks, including the loss of her beloved, Lawrence, more than a year ago, she presses on with family, faith, and hope for a brighter day. We are lifting you up, sweet sister. Hope you feel the #love”

According to Roberts, Tina has received a couple of rounds of treatment and could be looking at full remission. 

Later the ‘GMA’ star shared a series of snaps embracing, supporting, and loving her cousin who is making her way through the cancer journey.

Roberts shared snaps of her family dressed in the same shirts and pajamas as they posed with Tina.

The family seemed to be embracing the holiday spirit as they got together for dinner and took photos with the Christmas tree in the backdrop.

Roberts also shared a snap with Tina and her cousins in the mall and then sat next to Tina as a huge Christmas tree stood tall in the background.

She captioned her post, “Family Values. My cherished siblings gathered together to embrace, support, and love Tina, who’s making her way through her cancer journey. Along the way, a pajama party broke out along with shopping and fabulous dinners and laughs”

Roberts concluded, “The best Christmas gifts don’t need packaging and bows. What a beautiful reminder. So grateful for family love and YOU @tclarington

‘GMA’ fans rushed to support Roberts and her family during these tough times. They praised her for this thoughtful and heartfelt post with one commenting, “Freaking love this! Visioning your sister beating cancer so there’ll be even more sister outings”

A second added, “Beautiful photos! Thank you for sharing them. Happy holidays to your family. I’m holding you all in my prayers”

A third wrote, “I love this so much. I pray my children have a strong bond like this when I’m gone”

Another quipped, “There’s nothing like family, and you have a beautiful one. Prayers for Tina! Love the pajamas!”
