'GMA' star Janai Norman feels 'blessed' as she welcomes third child with husband Eli on Christmas Eve

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Janai Norman, co-anchor of 'Good Morning America,' announced the birth of her third child with a post on Christmas Eve.

This is the third child that the 'GMA' star shares with her husband, Eli. The couple also share a 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter, whose names they have chosen to keep private. They had revealed that they were expecting again back in spring, according to The US Sun.

The post contained an adorable and intimate photograph of Norman cradling her newborn son, who was swaddled in a blanket, close to her chest.

Norman captioned the post in the form of a letter addressed to Father Christmas, writing, "Dear Santa, We’ve already got more than we could’ve ever imagined to wish for 🧡"

"We welcomed baby boy Earthside last month. Born safely at home with daddy, big brother and sister nearby. The five of us. Our family is complete and blessed beyond our wildest dreams," she wrote. 

She concluded by thanking the midwife service who helped her with the birth of her child, stating, "Eternally grateful to @cihuapahtlimc for again empowering me to trust my body and birth new life comfortably on my terms."

Janai Norman announced her pregnancy on 'GMA'

The news of another baby on the way was shared by Norman while discussing her educational series 'Oh, Baby!' earlier this year.

"You know, on the show, we talk about baby animals of all kinds, well this one is actually about our favorite types of babies, right, human babies," she said, taking co-host Whit Johnson by surprise.

"I'm having another one!" she quickly explained, as a shower of confetti exploded on the set, and all co-hosts joined in celebration.

A maternity shower was arranged for the co-host by her fellow cast and crew in November.

Co-host Gio Benitez gave Norman a fond farewell on her final workday before the maternity leave on November 5.

Taking to X, he shared a short clip from the set of the show with Norman, saying in the video, "This is the final show, she's heading out on maternity leave. This is the last show before Janai becomes mommy to baby number three!"

He also shared snaps from the baby shower on social media, with the caption, "Celebrating our beautiful @janai.norman as she heads out on maternity leave for baby #3! 🍼 Can’t wait to meet the newest member of the @goodmorningamerica family."
