'The GOAT': GMA's Michael Strahan acknowledges Robin Roberts' slip up after she calls him by wrong name
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Michael Strahan seemed to have enjoyed being called Michael Jordan in a hilarious on-air goof-up by his co-host Robin Roberts on ‘Good Morning America’.
The former NFL star couldn’t have been happier by being called by the name of the legendary basketball player and jumped in excitement, calling himself the “GOAT” after Roberts made that blunder.
‘GMA’ recently shared a clip on Instagram celebrating the best and the funniest moments of 2023 where this interaction between the two stars was captured.

‘GMA’ captioned their clip, “We can’t stop laughing after reliving our funniest moments of 2023!”
The video included appearances by actor Chris Pratt, sports journalist Stephen A Smith, and 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest.
After a clip that captured Roberts bungee jumping, the host was seen introducing her ‘GMA’ co-host, Strahan.
Roberts announced, "We have Michael Jordan—" then caught herself and quickly corrected it to "Michael Strahan".
Strahan grinned as he happily accepted the new moniker, stating, "Aye, the GOAT.”
GOAT is an acronym for Greatest Of All Time, a title Michael Jordan has been given due to his glittering all-star basketball career.
The video montage included several more hilarious moments from ‘GMA’.
One showed Strahan wearing a kilt, while another captured the TV star telling Deion Sanders to "get in line" because "everybody loves Robin Roberts”.
Fans were delighted to see this clip from the morning show. One viewer said, “GMA at its finest,” while a second wrote, “That was awesome GMA is the best.”
A third added, “Love the GMA team — simply the best!!” while a fourth mentioned, “Looks like fun.”

Only recently, Roberts admitted on the show that the Jonas Brothers new track reminded her of her younger days when she used to leave the “club” at “3 am” which prompted a playful jab from Strahan.
"So the song is Waffle House?" Roberts asked her co-star Lara Spencer. "It is," Spencer replied. "Wow," Roberts sighed.
"Makes me think of 3 AM, leaving the club," Roberts said with a nostalgic glint in her eye.
"A woman after my own heart," Spencer joked as meteorologist Sam Champion gave a deep laugh.
Strahan looked at Roberts mischievously and said, “When this show is over, we're gonna have a little conversation when we get back. I gotta hear all about this.”
The entire crew laughed at Robin's apparent admission of her wild past.
