'Gossip Girl' actress Chanel Maya Banks 'found safe and sound' after desperate police search
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Chanel Maya Banks has been found safe and sound after authorities carried out a major search operation.
The ‘Gossip Girl’ star reportedly went missing after her concerned family reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department after being unable to locate or contact her for two weeks.
No foul play in Chanel Maya Banks' disappearance
According to TMZ, the actress was found unharmed and there is no suspicion of "foul play" in her apparent disappearance.
The outlet mentioned "Chanel has now been found safe and sound. She doesn't have any injuries and foul play isn't suspected," before adding, "Authorities reportedly conducted a welfare check at the LA apartment Chanel shares with her husband last week where they found all her belongings as well as her dog, but no sign of the actress."
"Chanel's cousin Danielle-Tori Singh and mother Judy Singh flew in from the East Coast to help search for their beloved family member after they say they didn't receive any communication from her for two weeks," TMZ reported.
Banks had appeared in three episodes of ‘Gossip Girl’, namely ‘How To Succeed In Bassness’, ‘They Shoot Humphreys, Don’t They?’ and ‘The Departed’, per The Mirror.
A GoFundMe page was also set up to find Banks by one of her relatives.

Netizens also doubled down on Banks' search operation, with one suggesting, "This may be a case of Depression causing her to cut contact temporarily. If the Police are satisfied in the identification all of her relatives and friends should back off and give her space."
