'Losing interest': Internet divided as Michelle Pfeiffer takes over 'Yellowstone' spinoff amid signing drama
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The spinoff of ‘Yellowstone’ will probably feature not a cowboy king but a queen as Michelle Pfeiffer might sign on to take the vital role.
RadarOnline.com citing a source reported, “Michelle is primed for big, big things and the mood is the franchise will go a different route and embrace girl power and move with the times.”

Matthew McConaughey and Kevin Costner still not finalized for 'Yellowstone' spinoff
Pfeiffer’s mention came as the show’s creators’ choice Matthew McConaughey's demand of $2.5 million per episode has left them in still inconclusive state.
Besides, Kevin Costner’s issue with creator Taylor Sheridan over timing led to additional problems.
But an insider noted, “Matthew's stalling could really cost him and he's still hasn't inked a deal. Kevin's return isn't set in stone either — and he's only going to get a cameo at best, thanks to his hard-line tactics, so the cost is clear for Michelle to take over!”
The insider went on to mention that the 65-year-old actress is “really excited and ready to go.”
Michelle Pfeiffer’s possible casting seen as ‘a refreshing welcome’
“Word is, she's very close to a deal and she really wants to do this, unlike her indecisive male counterparts. Her casting would be a refreshing welcome!” they stated.
The source added, “This will be Michelle's gain, Kevin and Matthew's loss. It's the juicy role that has eluded her years!”
This came after a mole spilled that McConaughey's expensive fees had been causing frustration among the makers of the drama series.
They explained, “Matthew and his team know he's the number one creative choice for the post-Kevin version of Yellowstone that's being planned, but Paramount is dragging its feet on his $2.5 million per episode asking price — and there's a real possibility Matthew will just move on.”
“The expectation was that once the Hollywood strikes ended, sealing the deal would be a quick process but they're really dragging their feet on meeting his demands!” they revealed.
‘It will be an epic fail’
Meanwhile, Pfeiffer’s probable addition to the ‘Yellowstone’ has received some attention online.
A Facebook user commented, “Yes! I’d rather see her than either of those two men.”
Another user noted, “Of course, everyone needs to make money, and good luck for her but I don’t follow Yellowstone anymore because I only follow the original Yellowstone with Kevin Costner !!!!!”
“Gradually losing interest !!!” the third one remarked.
The fourth user stated, “Is she going to be the wife that really didn’t die.”
The fifth user added, “It will be an epic fail.”
