As a result of which, he has to not only forgo his favorite alcoholic beverages but also his favorite food.

But as anyone on a mission to quit alcohol and comfort food together would agree, this takes a toll. This is where Shelton’s support system in the form of his wife - Gwen Stefani - is making a difference.

‘Blake can get grumpy when he can’t have what he wants’

The source close to the singer recently revealed, per OK! Magazine, that sticking to his healthy diet is proving to be a “nightmare” for the ‘Came Here to Forget’ singer.

As he has to quit his favorite fried food and beer for a healthy fare, he is reportedly becoming “grumpy”.

The source shared, "Blake can get grumpy when he can’t have what he wants."

However, Shelton’s singer wife, 54, who has “always been healthy” finds “dieting” easy. Thus, she is helping her husband with the same.

The source shared, "When he wants a burger, she’ll suggest a salad with grilled chicken or salmon. They’ll whip up something together."

‘I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet’

During a December 14 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Blake Shelton shared his resolution for the New Year 2024, which, if adhered to, can actually check his drinking.

The ‘God’s Country’ singer shared that his resolution for 2024 was to check his alcohol consumption.

Shelton candidly shared, “I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. That’s been, you know, even cutting back has been hard.”

However, he sounded optimistic as he added, “I mean, it’s a resolution though.”

The ‘Austin’ crooner elaborated, “And I’ll say it again right now — that’s my New Year’s resolution, is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether,” before adding, “Let’s just say I said it.”

Gwen Stefani feels 'million times better' when she exercises

Stefani, on the other, hand, is dedicated to fitness as she gushed about her love for exercising during an interview with Glamour.

She shared in 2023, "I don't exercise every day. I don't wanna exercise every day, but when I do, I feel so much better.”

Stefani added, "I'm talking about like a million times better. So, I think that's important. I think that just trying to find balance, you know, in everything, from prayer to exercise to making out with my husband, like all of it."

While exercising keeps her physically fit, she resorts to music in order to help her mental health.

She shared in the same interview, "Honestly I have been writing a lot of music lately," before adding, "I feel like that helps me so much with my mental health because a lot of thinking goes into it. Songs can cure you. I also think being creative helps me."
