Gypsy Rose Blanchard trolled as ex Ken Urker’s mom clarifies ‘they are not back together’ amid outing
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, met her ex-fiance Ken Urker just days after announcing her split from husband Ryan Scott Anderson.
However, Urker's mother has opened up about her son's "good intentions" after the two were spotted together getting matching tattoos at a tattoo parlor.
What did Ken Urker's mother say?
While serving an eight-year jail sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, Blanchard married Anderson in July 2022 while she was still in prison.
In addition, Nicholas 'Nick' Godejohn, Blanchard's boyfriend at the time of Dee Dee's death, was found guilty of the murder and given a life sentence without the chance of parole.
Because of her attorneys' argument that Blanchard was a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by proxy—a rare type of abuse in which a guardian fabricates or causes a child's illness in order to get sympathy and attention—Blanchard was given a lesser sentence.
She was released from prison late last year and announced her separation from her husband last week, just three months after moving in together.
Now, her ex-fiance Ken Urker's mother, Raina Williams, has confirmed that Gypsy had lunch with her son and visited a tattoo parlor with him recently, as first reported by People.
The owner of the tattoo parlor and Blanchard's cousin, Bobby Pitre, confirmed that the duo got new tattoos together.
"But the outing does not mean that a romantic relationship has been rekindled," Williams told People. "They are not back together," she said.
"They're very cool. Ken is just being a supportive friend to her and that's it."
Williams added, "I think she's a sweet girl, I think she's made her mistakes and she's trying to learn from them like anyone else. And I care a lot for Gypsy and I want to see good things happen for her."
Williams claimed that she had her son watched the 2017 documentary 'Mommy Dead and Dearest' and came to know about Gypsy's story. After watching the documentary, Urker wrote a letter to Blanchard in prison in 2018.
Urker and Blanchard eventually became engaged before splitting up while she was still in prison
As for the present status between the two of them, Williams doubled down that there was nothing more than friendship.
She said, "As of right now, there is no plan on a romantic scale right now," adding, "My son has never had any kind of ill intentions towards Gypsy. It devastated him when they broke up the first time. But he truly thought that was what was best for Gypsy."
