Now months later, she appeared on ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ on Thursday, November 5, and joked that she thinks her six-month-old child is already “a genius”, as reported by PEOPLE.
Steinfeld said, “She is totally on the move. This girl is crawling around. And it’s so funny, it’s so true with what parents have always said. You will be convinced your child is a genius when they’re doing everything right on track.”

Hailee Steinfeld reveals she's 'learned to slow down' after becoming a mother
The ‘True Grit’ star also further reflected on her changed life after becoming a mother.
She told the hosts, “This season of life has definitely taught me to slow down, really just soak in the small pockets of joy that are truly all around us. Time for myself looks a little different now, but I find it.”
Hailee Steinfeld claims her daughter has made her 'more patient'
Steinfeld's interview came after she explained the impact motherhood has had on her.

Replying to a fan on her Substack, she wrote, as per E! News, “There’s a long answer, but I’ll give the short one here: I’ve learned just how much of myself I still have to discover. I thought becoming a mom would be this transformative experience about loving someone else, and it is that 1000 percent.”
“But what I didn’t expect is how much she’s teaching me about myself. She’s made me more patient, more present, and so much more aware of how special the little things are,” the singer stated.
She also further revealed one of her qualities and that’s “really good at reminding people that they’re human, that things take time, and that everything happens for a reason.”
“It will all fall into place—how, when, and where it should—and that they don’t have to have everything all figured out. I’m not always the best at taking that advice myself,” Steinfeld asserted.
