Halle Bailey tells Jimmy Kimmel she is a clingy sister who loves 'stealing' Chloe's clothes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During a visit to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on December 8, 23-year-old actress, Halle Bailey was asked about living with her sister and humorously mentioned how she enjoys stealing her sister Chloe's clothes.
With her long braided black locks cascading down to her legs, the actress appeared on the late-night talk show to promote her new movie, 'The Color Purple'.
The film is a musical adaptation of Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
Halle Bailey says sister Chloe is 'always there' for her
The conversation kicked off with mutual appreciation for Halle being back on the show. Kimmel then inquired about the well-being of the guest's sister, Chloe.
'The Little Mermaid' actress replied, "She's amazing."
Kimmel then asked, "You guys live together or What's your deal?"
To which Halle responded, "Yeah technically we do live together."
Halle then mentioned that she copied her sister and moved to the same apartment building as her. She humorously admitted to being a clingy little sister who needs her big sister, and she sought her permission before making the move.
Kimmel then noted that most little sisters "wouldn't ask for permission and would just assume it's okay to move in."
Halle acknowledged this but shared that her sister welcomed her to come. They live on different floors to maintain space, but Halle appreciated the fact that when she needs her sister, "she's always there."
Kimmel then asked if they ever have surprise elevator time, and Halle responded affirmatively, mentioning that they have keys to each other's places.
Halle Bailey admits she 'steals clothes' from her sister Chloe
The conversation between the two moved on, and Kimmel inquired if she goes to her sister's place when she's not home and Halle admitted to doing so all the time, playfully adding that she "steals clothes" from her sister during these visits.
She confessed, mentioning that she and her sister "pick up the same packages" but when sometimes, unable to wait for her sister to collect them, Halle starts going through the packages and ends up wearing the items for the night, which occasionally irks her sister.
Kimmel asked Halle if her sister would get mad when Halle took her clothes, and Halle acknowledged the universal scenario where sisters take clothes from each other, leading to the one whose clothes were taken "always getting mad."
Kimmel joked and said, "It must be especially annoying because you get photographed in these clothes and now it's like, 'Oh great, now I can't wear what you wore'."
He suggested to Halle that she be home more or tip the UPS guy extra to ensure timely deliveries, and they both shared a laugh about the situation.
