Hallie Biden gets immunity to testify against Hunter Biden in his criminal tax trial next month
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hallie Biden has been given immunity by a Californian judge to testify against Hunter Biden in his criminal tax trial, which is scheduled for next month.
According to a court document obtained by Fox News, Hallie, the widow of Beau Biden and the ex-partner of Hunter, had already informed prosecutors that she would not be willing to testify during the trial starting on September 5 "on the basis of her privilege against self-incrimination."

Hunter Biden is accused of filing fake tax returns and omitting to pay $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019.
He allegedly spent millions of dollars on prostitutes, fancy cars, drugs, and other expensive goods as part of his extravagant lifestyle.
What did the US District Judge Mark Scarsi say on Hunter Biden's failure to pay taxes?
US District Judge Mark Scarsi wrote this week that "it is ordered ... Hallie Biden give testimony or provide other information which she refuses to give or to provide on the basis of her privilege against self-incrimination as to all matters about which he may be interrogated in the course of these proceedings."
"It is further ordered that no testimony or other information compelled under this order, or any information directly or indirectly derived from such testimony or information, shall be used against Hallie Biden in any criminal case, except that she shall not be exempted by this order from prosecution for perjury, giving a false statement, or otherwise failing to comply with this order," he added.

Earlier this year, Hallie Biden testified against Hunter Biden during his federal gun trial in Delaware under the same immunity deal, as reported by the Washington Examiner.
Hunter is charged with three felonies and six misdemeanors in the California tax case. He requested a postponement of the trial, and Judge Scarsi approved his request.
The trial was originally set to start on June 20. A federal jury in Delaware found in June that Hunter had lied on paperwork he had filled out to buy a pistol, claiming to have used illegal drugs.
