Hannah Waddingham reveals she has ‘mental list’ of people who trashed her, fans say ‘never forget’

LONDON, ENGLAND: During an episode of 'Sunday Sitdown with Willie Geist', Hannah Waddingham revealed a deep-seated memory of casting directors who overlooked her throughout the years. 

Discussing her Hollywood experiences and her personal blacklist, she recounted encounters with numerous individuals who previously dismissed her but now seek her involvement in their projects. 

Notably, she disclosed the "mental list" of individuals who she felt hindered her career progression or diminished her value, as per TMZ. 

Furthermore, she shared that overcoming these challenges became a catalyst for her success as both an accomplished actor and singer.

As the star of 'Les Miserables' blossoms into a striking figure with a tall stature and a commanding presence, she opened up about her experiences with teachers and peers who frequently subjected her to hurtful remarks.

Despite facing such comments, Waddingham broke free from her shell and emerged as one of the most acclaimed British actresses.

One teacher went as far as mocking that one side of her face resembled that of someone who had suffered a stroke, as per PinkVilla.

Waddingham revealed this during her conversation on the 'Sunday Sitdown With Willie Geist' podcast, where she confessed to enduring bullying from her schoolmates, who labeled her as "a lanky freak".

Also, she faced bullying from ex-boyfriends who belittled her and casting directors who were overly critical of her appearance.

However, rather than letting these challenges deter her, she used them as fuel to propel her ambition forward. She said on the podcast,  "I thought, I will do it. Come hell or high water, I will work on screen." 

Following her triumphs in Hollywood, notably with prominent roles in 'Game of Thrones' and 'Ted Lasso', individuals who had once doubted her, flocked to reconnect with her.

But Waddingham is not ready to forgive and forget. She told Willie Geist on the podcast, "And I am happy to say to them: ‘Please look somewhere else. I’m human. I remember. Bog off'."

Initially, Waddingham, who began her career in musical theater, faced difficulties securing substantial roles on screen. 

During her Emmy Award acceptance speech for 'Ted Lasso', she paid tribute to the musical theater community and urged producers to offer more opportunities to performers.

Recently, she appeared in 'The Fall Guy', starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, and is set to star alongside Tom Cruise in 'Mission: Impossible 8'.
