Kamala Harris, arguing the party's biggest financial backers have lost confidence after the 2024 election.
Speaking on Fox News' My View with Lara Trump, Li argued Harris' biggest obstacle would not be Democratic voters but convincing major donors to finance another presidential campaign. Harris has repeatedly been mentioned as a potential Democratic contender for 2028, although she has not announced another White House campaign. .
Donor confidence comes under focus
Li said major Democratic donors are unlikely to support another Harris presidential campaign.
"Kamala Harris is living in fantasyland... thinking that big donors would bet on her again," Li said.
Describing political fundraising as a "business proposition," Li argued that major contributors expect accountability after an election loss and claimed many donors have become reluctant to invest in candidates they believe failed to deliver results.
She also criticized the Democratic Party's post-election review, saying it did not adequately address concerns raised by donors after the 2024 campaign.
Fundraising concerns fuel criticism
Li pointed to the money spent during Harris' 2024 campaign as evidence that major donors expect greater accountability.

Beyond Harris, Li said she believes the Democratic Party is struggling to maintain unity as it debates its political direction ahead of the next presidential race.
Li also criticized Democratic leaders for moving too far left, arguing the party's ideological direction has alienated many longtime donors.
