'Stop posting': Jenelle Evans slammed for using son Jace to generate TikTok content after CPS probe ends
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jenelle Evans, known for her role in 'Teen Mom', is facing criticism on social media after posting a video featuring her eldest son, Jace, shortly after his homecoming from foster care.
In the video, Evans films her children, including Jace, participating in a spicy noodle TikTok challenge. While some users praised Evans, others accused her of exploiting Jace for social media content, questioning whether he should be featured online after his recent struggles.
Jenelle Evans under fire for son's video appearance
Critics argue that Evans should prioritize Jace's well-being over social media presence, expressing concern about the impact on his mental health. Some users urged Evans to refrain from sharing Jace's struggles online and focus on creating a supportive environment for him.
"Janelle, your son needs help and support. Keep him off social media!" one follower said.
Another added, "I thought her biggest concern was Jace's mental health. Sharing him all over social media is not the way to be concerned about his mental health."
"I wish she would stop posting Jace. He’s obviously having issues and her focus should be on creating a supportive environment to help him," another pointed out, and a fourth asked, "Hasn't he been through enough?"
Background of CPS intervention
As OK Magazine, previously reported, Jace was removed from Evans' home by Child Protective Services (CPS) following reported runaway attempts and allegations of physical abuse by Evans' husband, David Eason. Although charges against Evans and Eason have been dropped, concerns about Jace's mental health persist.
"The defendant unlawfully and willingly did, being the parent of Jace V Evans, who was a child, less than 16 years of age, inflict physical injury on that child... The physical injury inflicted caused marks on their right arm and left and right side of the neck, and was inflicted by other than accidental means," read their court filing.
While David is still facing the child abuse charge, Jenelle confirmed on Thursday, February 15, that "all allegations against me and my husband have been officially dropped" concerning the CPS investigation.
"I'd appreciate if everyone respects my son's privacy so he can get his mental health in check," she said in the video.
