Hayden Panettiere’s troubling behavior sparks worries about her mental state after brother's tragic death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hayden Panettiere, renowned for her candidness about past addiction struggles, has set off alarm bells with her latest interview, which was released on Wednesday, September 18.
The actress, 35, appeared visibly unsettled and disoriented as she spoke to People about her daughter and her personal challenges, raising serious concerns among fans.
Hayden Panettiere praises daughter in unsettling interview
In the interview, Hayden Panettiere gushed about her daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, whom she shares with ex Wladimir Klitschko, but her remarks seemed off.
"She's beautiful and she came out just like," she began, before adding, "I mean, talk about nature vs. nurture. I mean, this little girl literally came out — not just her face resembling mine, she is my personality. She just is. I saw her in a school play once. It was more of a Christmas special thing, and she was more concerned about directing the kid next to her in his steps than she was about what she was doing. Leave this poor kid alone! Just do your stuff."

Hayden Panettiere still heartbroken over brother Jansen’s tragic death
Hayden Panettiere also discussed her brother Jansen Panettiere, who tragically died in February 2023 from cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), and her struggles coping with his death. "I just ballooned out," she admitted, referring to her weight gain.
"I didn’t feel confident to put on clothes and get out of the house, but I also knew that I needed to get out and keep moving or I’d never stop looking and feeling this way," the actress said.
She revealed she became agoraphobic, trapped in a "destructive hamster wheel" of self-doubt.
Fortunately, the 'Nashville' alum found solace in long walks with her personal trainer, describing these sessions as therapeutic. "These long, beautiful walks where we could vent and it would be this therapy session," she said. "My body just started reacting, not just from the working out. It allowed me to release the stress, the high expectations I’d always put on myself."

Despite her efforts to move forward, Panettiere remains deeply affected by her brother's death. "I will always be heartbroken about it," she confessed. "I will never be able to get over it. No matter how many years go by, I will never get over his loss."
