LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star Kim Kardashian continues to pursue her acting career following her appearance in Season 12 of 'American Horror Story.' Reportedly, she's getting ready to collaborate with 'AHS' co-creator Ryan Murphy, but in a procedural capacity.

The Kardashian-fronted Hulu series will mark Murphy's first new venture with Disney since he signed a general contract with the corporation in June 2023, following his departure from Netflix, as per Variety.

Kim Kardashian to play divorce lawyer in legal drama

Known as one of the most famous people in the world, Kim Kardashian has already done most of the things many people only dream of doing. However, acting hasn't exactly been Kardashian's most prominent endeavor.

While getting her own scripted series, Kardashian continues working on another project — envisioned as an upscale, glitzy, and seductive adult procedural — alongside 'AHS' co-creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy, as reported by Deadline.

The project will be written by 'AHS' writer Joseph Baken, and Jon Robin Baitz, the showrunner of Murphy's 'Feud', which will have a Truman Capote-focused forthcoming season.

The legal drama, which stars Kardashian as a successful divorce attorney heading an all-female Los Angeles legal practice, has received a series commitment from Hulu, the network that also hosts the reality series 'The Kardashians'.

Kardashian is currently filming 'The Fifth Wheel,' a comedy where she plays the outsider among four other female friends. The movie landed on Netflix in November following a fierce bidding war.

Ryan Murphy is known for aiding talented people

Murphy has a reputation for assisting talented people in transitioning to acting. He gave Lady Gaga her first significant part on 'AHS' many years ago. Her subsequent role as a lead in 'A Star Is Born' earned her an Oscar nomination for acting.

Following a successful run of broadcast and cable shows through 20th TV, such as 'Glee,' 'American Horror Story,' 'American Crime Story,' 'Feud,' and the '9-1-1' franchise, Murphy made the switch to streaming with a deal at Netflix.

The legal drama is a part of Murphy's overall Disney arrangement and will be his debut series on Hulu. It comes after Kardashian's dramatic acting debut in 'AHS: Delicate' this fall. The second installment of 'Delicate' is expected to come out in 2024.

Stars like Selena Gomez and Harry Styles turned out to be excellent choices when they first did their major breakthroughs. However, fans already appear to be vehemently opposed to the model appearing on films, so it appears that Kardashian has a long way to go.

Fans have even more reason to doubt Murphy's shows because they have not been able to maintain their excellence in past years.

Internet mocks Ryan Murphy for casting Kim Kardashian in Hulu project

Fans have flocked to social media sites like X (previously known as Twitter) to criticize the show writer, director, and producer for this decision, raising concerns about Kardashian's casting.

One social media user wrote: "What happened to all of the good actors and actresses?"

A second one echoed a similar sentiment and questioned, "He couldn't find an actual ACTOR?"

"And the fact that she’s a qualified divorced lawyer in real life will make it so much better seeing her in action," mocked a third X user.

Referring to the poor performance of 'American Horror Stories,' a fourth one claimed, "Honestly, as bad as AHS has gotten, I can understand real actors not wanting to work with him anymore."

"Why is she playing roles that are already her real life," quipped another one.

One more added, "Zillions of super talented actresses out there. Why Ryan Murphy? Oh why mean mean sir?"
