'Get a life': Swifties rally to defend Travis Kelce for texting during Taylor Swift's Singapore concert
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During Taylor Swift's concert in Singapore, NFL player Travis Kelce, who is also her boyfriend and plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, faced backlash when a concert attendee captured him texting and using his phone.
Nevertheless, Taylor Swift's devoted fanbase, commonly referred to as Swifties, passionately defended Kelce against the criticism he faced, as per Page Six.
Travis Kelce received backlash from netizens
On Friday, March 8, a TikTok user posted footage from one of Swift's concerts in Singapore. Swift delivered a performance of 'I Knew You Were Trouble' in the video, with the camera panning over to Kelce, seated in the arena's club seating area.
In a clip, he was seen bopping his head and glancing down at his phone as his millionaire partner played her hit song from 2012.
The fan who filmed the video seemingly shaded Kelce, sarcastically writing, “It’s giving supportive bf 👀,” atop the clip.

Swifties, however, were quick to notice these moments and came to his defense on social media. Despite the NFL player appearing to take a brief break with his phone, he was seen thoroughly enjoying himself with his friends at the concert of the 'Bad Blood' singer at the National Stadium on Friday.
The 34-year-old Kelce was also seen having a lively time dancing with his close friend Ross Travis while Swift performed her 2017 hit song, 'Ready for It?'
The Grammy-winning artist, who publicly confirmed her relationship with Kelce in September of last year, expressed her love for her partner by giving him a heartfelt shout-out. This was done by modifying the lyrics of her song 'Karma' during her performance.
