'He has lots of secrets': Hugh Jackman wants Deborra-Lee Furness to sign NDA for slice of $100M pie
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Jackman's multimillion-dollar divorce settlement with wife Deborra-Lee Furness reportedly includes a non-disclosure agreement as well.
'The Greatest Showman' star is prepared to leave Furness a sizable chunk of his $100 million fortune, according to a shocking report, provided she keeps quiet about their time together.
According to sources, the payout is contingent on the 55-year-old's compliance with an ironclad nondisclosure agreement (NDA), which is said to have been strategically crafted to shield the intimate details of their relationship from prying eyes, as reported by Radar Online.
'Hugh's concern has never been money'
An insider told the National Enquirer, "This move is less about the financial aspect and more about retaining control. Hugh's concern has never been money, but rather control."
"He's a man with lots of secrets and doesn't want any of them exposed," the tipster added. "Let's just say Deb will not need to worry about getting a job."
The insider continued, "She'll have enough money for the rest of her life — if she signs an airtight nondisclosure agreement."
The couple, who were married for 27 years, started their journey together long before Jackman became a household name. Actually, the initial focus was on Australian producer and actress Furness.
Hugh Jackman is 'exceedingly generous' with $100M fortune
"They do not have a prenup and he is poised to be exceedingly generous with his $100 million fortune, provided she accedes to his stipulations," the source told the outlet.
In a joint statement released in the middle of September, Jackman and Furness announced their separation, putting on a united front as they started a new chapter as single adults.
Despite the fact that the pair seemed to be in agreement, insiders stated that the actor was "totally lost" without his wife of three decades.
Hugh Jackman writing 'big bombshell' memoir
Almost two months later, the actor is reportedly writing a memoir that contains several "big bombshells."
According to people close to Jackman, disclosing his side of the story will be "the first step." He decided to write the memoir because "he's finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce," they added.
