LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tyreek Hill recently gushed over ex-teammate Travis Kelce while insisting that the tight end is not getting paid what he's worth in Kansas City.

The Dolphins wide receiver, who believes Kelce was key to the Chiefs bagging three Super Bowl titles in the last five years, disclosed on the 'Million Dollaz Worth of Game' podcast that the tight end apparently accepted a "friendly" deal for his team's sake.

Tyreek Hill says Travis Kelce is the greatest tight end he has faced

On the podcast, Hill said, "I think Kelce like at 14, 15 [million]. Nobody's Travis Kelce. Nobody's Patrick Mahomes, either. Those two - they're just different."

He added, "They're gonna be the highest-paid. But obviously, they're gonna take friendly deals 'cause you know... [They want to] keep the team together."

Hill, who is currently a part of the Miami Dolphins, played for Kansas City until 2021 after he was picked in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The five-time First-Team All-Pro asserted that Kelce was the best tight end he had ever played with.

When asked if Kelce was the greatest tight end, Hill said, "Of all time? For sure," before retracting and clarifying, "The greatest tight end that I played with, I will say that."

He elaborated, "I don't wanna say nothing else about nobody else's career. But from what I've seen and how hard he works in practice, he's definitely the greatest."

Kelce makes a base salary of $12 million, as per Spotrac. On the other hand, Mahomes has a base salary of $9.85 million.

However, owing to his 10-year contract, Mahomes would earn an average of $45 million per season until 2031, according to USA Today

In 2022, the Kansas City Chiefs traded Hill to the Miami Dolphins, who signed him to a four-year, $120 million contract, making him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in NFL history, as reported by Front Office Sports

Hill further expressed, "I wanted to be in KC, I told them that. I don't know what it is, man. I believe it's one of those things like they wanna keep the core guys together. But I think you have a real good team and a real good owner and you guys are winning all of these championships - money's there bro."

Internet reacts to Tyreek Hill's remarks about Travis Kelce's pay

A Facebook user said, "Travis is GOAT," while another noted, "According to what others make that haven't done even a quarter of what these two have ????? YES !!!!! But they are

team and ring driven."

A person wrote, "Although a great player may not earn top money as a great player, money will come in by the truckload when they win rings. It's as broad as it is long."

"Tyreek can get the quick money, but he's missing 2 rings. Patrick and Travis will always make the lettuce!!!" expressed someone else.

An individual declared, "Are you f*****g kidding me ? All of these athletes are way over paid for what they do!"

One more remarked, "Severely compared to others in same positions. They both should be highest paid at thier position," while another person added, "They have titles that almost nobody has, a hell of a lot of endorsements and a chance to make history!!!!! I would trade a little bit of money for that any day!!!! Wouldn't you???"
