'He was such a blessing': Laura Meritt Walker mourns the loss of her son Callahan, says he brought so much joy to our whole family

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Laura Meritt Walker and her family have made a tragic announcement. The popular lifestyle blogger and one half of Meritt & Style and her husband David Walker made the unfortunate revelation of the death of their youngest son, three-year-old Callahan, on Instagram on Monday, February 12, as per Perez Hilton

The devastated couple posted a photo of the two of them with Callahan from a family photo shoot, followed by a photo of them both holding his hand in his hospital bed and a video of Callahan reading a book at bedtime. In the caption, the two say they are "brokenhearted" at the loss of their toddler.

What did Laura Meritt Walker say in the post?

"We are completely broken-hearted to share that we lost our precious Callahan in a tragic accident last week," the caption on the joint post began. "He was such a blessing and brought so much joy to our whole family. Cal-Bear was absolutely adored by his big brothers and loved them beyond measure. What did the authorities say?

A sergeant from the Frisco Police Department in Texas was able to confirm that FPD officers responded to a drowning call involving a child last week. Further details about the incident that led to Callahan's death remain unknown.

Others pay condolences to the Walker family

"I’ll be praying for you and your family, this absolutely breaks my heart because I know this heartache and I’m just so sorry 💔," Brittani Boren Leach, another influencer who has sadly experienced child loss, commented.

Bachelor Nation's Raven Gates also commented, writing, "I am beyond sorry, there are absolutely no words. I’m praying the Lord gives you peace and comfort beyond all understanding."

In the days since sharing the tragic news, David has posted recent photos of Callahan on his Instagram Story, but has not commented further. The couple are also parents to sons Chamberlain, seven-and-a-half, and Beckham, 10.

Laura runs the lifestyle blog with sister Cristie Meritt Taylor, who shares daughters Mia, 12 months, and Meritt, three-and-a-half, with husband Mark Taylor. The family has not commented on the passing of their nephew at this time.
