BRAZIL: Gisele Bundchen has reportedly lost her mother to cancer. Vania Nonnenmacher was 75 when she breathed her last on Sunday, January 28.

Page Six citing a Brazilian outlet GZH reported that Nonnenmacher was admitted to hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she died.

Gisele Bundchen hasn't released any statement yet

Gisele has not yet said anything about her mother’s death, and neither any of her family members have released a statement. Also, it is not yet known for how long the Victoria's Secret model’s mother was unwell.

Nonnenmacher was survived by Gisele's five siblings, twin Patricia and sisters Rafaela, Graziela, Gabriela, and Raquel as well as husband, Valdir Bundchen.

Gisele Bundchen called her mother ‘our rock’

As per a Vanity Fair article, Nonnenmacher was a retired bank teller and for Gisele, she was her “hero.”

In 2010, the former wife of Tom Brady shared, “I grew up witnessing my mother [Vania] always trying her best at doing all she could for the six of us girls.”

“My mom devoted her entire life to her family and did it with such grace,” she mentioned, before asserting, “She is my hero. She is the reason why I believe a woman is the core of a family.”

“I can only hope to be for my kids what she will and always be for us … Our rock,” Gisele added at the time.

Besides, recently, Gisele spoke about the changes she made in her diet after watching her parents struggling with health woes.

“I want to live the longest feeling the best that I can, but for me to achieve this, I have to make decisions today,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

She also stated, “You can have all the money in the world. If you don’t have your health, it’s not possible to buy it back.”
