TAMPA, FLORIDA: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently held a press briefing alongside Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Air Force, and said that "the United States is decimating the radical Iranian regime's military in a way the world has never seen before."

He further said that when the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) look up at the sky, they see only two symbols on the sides of the aircraft: “the Stars and Stripes, and the Star of David, the evil regime’s worst nightmare.”

Hegseth also claimed that Iran now has “no air defenses,” no working air force and no Navy. He added that, “Their missiles, missile launchers and drones are being destroyed or shot out of the sky.”

The Secretary of War also shared that more than 15,000 targets in Iran have already been hit. He also mentioned that “No other combination of countries in the world” can do what the United States and Israel are doing in Iran.

High on the agenda for the allies will be ascertaining how the U.S. intends to influence the trajectory of the war in Ukraine, as the conflict nears the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. Pete Hegseth claims US and Israeli forces are dominating Iran’s skies

Pete Hegseth informed the press that the US and Israel are carrying out major military strikes against Iran. He said the two countries have already hit many targets and are continuing their operations.

“Between our air force and that of the Israelis, over 15,000 enemy targets have been struck,” he said. “No other combination of countries in the world can do that,” Hegseth further added.

Hegseth said their aircraft are flying over Iran and choosing targets as new intelligence comes in. He also mentioned that the IRGC and Iranian regime can only see "the stars and stripes and the Star of David" whenever they look up at the sky, calling it "the evil regime's worst nightmare."

For those unfamiliar, Hegseth referred to national flags of the US and Israel in his statement. The “Stars and Stripes,” defines the US flag, which consists of 50 white stars on a blue canton representing the current states and 13 alternating red and white stripes representing the original colonies.

Meanwhile, the “Star of David” refers the flag of Israel, which features a white background, two blue horizontal stripes inspired by the Jewish prayer shawl known as the tallit, and a blue Star of David in the center.

Hegseth also claimed Iran’s military power is weakening quickly. He said, “Iran has no air defenses. Iran has no air force. Iran has no navy,” adding, “Their missiles, their missile launchers and drones being destroyed or shot out of the sky.”

He further alleged that Iran may not be able to rebuild its weapons. “Iran's entire ballistic missile production capacity, every company that builds every component of those missiles has been functionally defeated, destroyed.”

Pete Hegseth says Iran’s leadership is hiding 'like rats'

Hegseth also revealed that the US is continuing to target Iran’s remaining weapons and military sites. He said the aim is not only to destroy missiles but also to stop Iran from making more weapons.

“We're shooting down and destroying what missiles they still have in stock,” Hegseth stated. He added that Iran’s ability to produce weapons is also being hit, saying, “their production lines, their military plants, their defense innovation centers defeated.”

Hegseth also claimed Iran’s leaders are hiding and are under pressure. He said they are “Desperate and hiding, they've gone underground, cowering."

"That's what rats do,” the Secretary of War stated.

He also said Iran’s military strength is falling. “The military capabilities of their evil regime are crumbling,” Hegseth mentioned, adding that Iranian leaders are struggling to communicate and organize as the conflict continues.
