BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA: During a discussion on Fox News about the potential results of Tuesday's races, Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy praised Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley's performance on Super Tuesday.

He also indicated his interest in having her join a future Republican administration if she opts to drop her presidential candidacy.

McCarthy also touched upon the possibility of Haley dropping out of the race against former President Donald Trump.

Speaking with Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, McCarthy stated about Haley, “Probably her campaign is probably going to come to a close.”

“But it’s not the close for Nikki Haley. She did a tremendous campaign,” the 55th Speaker of the United States House of Representatives remarked on the former two-term South Carolina Governor.

What did McCarthy say about Haley during his Fox News appearance?

According to a report from The Hill, the former California lawmaker showered praises on the success of Haley's bid for the GOP presidential nomination.

Despite being initially viewed as a long shot, she has garnered unwavering support in recent months, ultimately becoming the last major contender standing against former President Donald Trump on Super Tuesday.

McCarthy underscored Haley's rise as a prominent figure within the Republican Party, suggesting that her leadership could be instrumental in bridging divides and fostering unity amidst increasing tensions and divisions within the party.

McCarthy said, “I think she has a very bright future. And I would hope she’d be a part of a future administration,” referring to her previous stints as UN ambassador and South Carolina governor.

Haley had pledged to remain in the presidential race at least until Super Tuesday, notwithstanding conjecture that her campaign would come to an end after enduring substantial losses to Trump, including a devastating defeat in her home state of South Carolina.

On Tuesday, March 5, Haley secured a notable victory in Vermont, marking her largest win since the beginning of the GOP primary season.

This result has the potential to strengthen her presidential campaign, particularly following her victory in Washington DC last Sunday.
