As the world celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12, US celebrities left no stone unturned to pay homage to their strong and resilient mothers. From former First Lady Michelle Obama to Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon, the A-listers took to their social media to celebrate the occasion.
1. Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon celebrated Mother's Day by posting photos of herself with both her mother and her three children. Posting a picture with her three children Ava, Deacon and Tennessee, the 'Legally Blonde' star wrote, "The greatest gift of my life is being their mom 💝 Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!" She also gave a shout out to her mother, writing, "Every day with you is a gift @grandma_busybetty 💗☀️🤗Happy Mother's Day, Mama! 💐."
2. Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner made a holistic post with a carousel of photographs including ones with her mother and all of her children. She accompanied the post with a long caption writing, "To my wonderful children, Kourtney, Kimberly, Khloé, Rob, Kendall and Kylie. Being your mom has been the most incredible journey of my entire life, and everything I ever prayed for…. every day I am so grateful and feel so blessed for this life we live." After remembering the "delicious times" she shares with her grandchildren, the momager wrote, "I love you more than words can describe." She penned a heartfelt note about her mother as well, saying, "To my Mom MJ, You have taught me the joy of family, the love of celebrating life always and unconditional love. The former first lady celebrated Mother's Day with a sweet tribute to her mother Marian Shields Robinson. Sharing a picture of themselves, Michelle wrote, "Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! My mom has always been my rock and I’m so grateful for all the ways she continues to show up for my family. She’s taught me so much over the years, and I feel so lucky that I get to pass that same wisdom down to my own girls."
