Hilary Williams opens up about her near-death experience, says an angel in white told her 'it’s time to go'
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Hilary Williams, the daughter of singer Hank Williams Jr and the granddaughter of country legend Hank Williams Sr, has once again shared the story of surviving a fatal car crash in 2006.
She said she saw an angel who escorted her to Heaven and met her deceased relatives and friends, including Johnny Cash and June Carter.
Hilary Williams's tragic accident that changed her life
Hilary and her sister Holly were on their way from Nashville to Louisiana in March of 2006 for their maternal grandmother’s funeral.
Hilary Williams was behind the wheel when she glanced at her iPod and in a blink of an eye their truck hit the ruts on the side of the country road.
The truck flipped 360 degrees over on Mississippi’s Highway 61 before skidding to the side of the road and into a field flipping four more times.
Hilary was dangling by her seat belt and smashed behind the steering wheel while Holly crumpled on the seat beside her. They prayed for help as they waited for the paramedics to arrive which took 45 minutes. Hilary recalled saying, “God, send Your angels to help us!" as she soaked in blood, reports Woman's World.

The angel who told Hilary Williams ‘It’s time to go’
As Hilary was losing consciousness, she felt a warm hand holding hers. She looked up and saw a tall, glowing figure in a white gown, who whispered to her, “It’s time to go.”
Hillary, according to Tennessean, lost six points of blood and was told she shouldn't have survived for more than twenty minutes. She was lifted by a helicopter, “I was in shock,” Williams, a Type 1 diabetic told the publication at the time, adding “I didn’t feel anything. It didn’t hit me until an hour later.”
She was flown by helicopter to the Memphis hospital and remembered nothing afterward as she initially went into an eight-hour-long surgery. During the second procedure a day later, her heart too stopped for the second time.
Hilary said she felt a sense of peace and love as she left her body and soared into the sky. She saw thousands of images of her life flash before her eyes, and then she entered a bright light that filled her with joy. She thought, “This is God’s love” and felt a “love deeper” than she’d ever “experienced before.”
