WASHINGTON, DC: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton rejected references to the debunked “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory during her closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee as part of questioning tied to Jeffrey Epstein files.

Video from the nearly six-hour session, released on Monday, March 2, shows Clinton pushing back at Republican lawmakers who raised the false claim during broader inquiries connected to newly disclosed records.

Hillary Clinton calls Pizzagate allegations 'outrageous'

Several hours into the deposition, Rep Lauren Boebert questioned Hillary Clinton about “Pizzagate,” a conspiracy theory that falsely alleged a child tra**icking ring linked to her inner circle operating out of a Washington, DC pizzeria.

When asked whether she had reviewed any Epstein-related files referencing the theory, Hillary dismissed it outright. "Pizzagate was totally made up. It was an outrageous allegation that ended up hurting a number of people," Clinton said.

She added, "I can't believe you're even referencing it... the QAnon people believe it." Hillary's legal team objected to further questioning on the subject as the exchange unfolded.

The line of questioning came during testimony connected to transparency legislation surrounding government records in the Epstein case.

Hillary Clinton asked about push to get files on UFOs declassified

Later in the session, Rep Eric Burlison said he would begin with some “light-hearted questions” and brought up efforts to declassify government records related to UFOs.

Burlison referenced businessman Laurance Rockefeller’s push for disclosure of classified files regarding UFOs during former President Bill Clinton’s administration. He also noted that during her 2016 presidential campaign, an adviser had publicly stated that Hillary would consider releasing such files if elected.

After mentioning that President Donald Trump directed the US government last month to prepare disclosures related to UFOs and aliens, Burlison asked whether she was pleased the files may now be released. Hillary responded, "I am pleased...this is an issue of real importance to so many people and I think whatever can be disclosed should be disclosed."

Hillary Clinton's deposition briefly paused due to photo leak

The footage also captured a tense moment after a photo taken inside the deposition room surfaced online. Influencer Benny Johnson posted the image, claiming it was taken by Boebert.

Someone off camera stated the deposition would go off the record, and Boebert could be heard acknowledging she took the photo before proceedings began. Clinton reacted sharply, saying, "I'm done with this. If you guys are doing that, I am done."

Visibly frustrated, she added, "Oh, for heaven's sake. It doesn't matter. We all are abiding by the same rules." Hillary briefly left the table after repeating, "I'm done," before her attorney requested a break. The deposition later resumed.

Hillary testified from 11 am to about 5.30 pm and told lawmakers she had no recollection of meeting Epstein, describing his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell as an acquaintance.
