'Homesick' Adele looks for house in London after being 'disillusioned with Hollywood'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Grammy-winning British singer Adele is considering moving back to London with her fiance Rich Paul, and son Angelo as she is feeling "homesick" and has "become disillusioned with Hollywood," an insider shared with the Daily Mail on Saturday, November 30.
The revelation comes after the 36-year-old singer announced she would be taking a prolonged break from performing as her Las Vegas residency wrapped up on November 23 following a two-year stint at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
While Adele is determined to spend more time with her family, many fans consider the news as the start of her early retirement.
Adele has started property-hunting in London
With an estimated net worth of $220 million, Adele has already started to look for a suitable property in London, an insider told the Daily Mail. However, she does not have plans to sell the $58 million Beverly Hills mansion that she shares with Paul, and wants to spend half of the year in the United States.
"Adele has instructed her people to look for a 'beautiful and secure' home for her in the capital," said the source. "She plans on keeping her house in LA, but wants to spend at least half the year back home."
"Rich has been trying to talk her out of it, but Adele is a very strong woman. Once she’s made up her mind, no one can change it," they added."

Adele already owns two lavish properties in the United Kingdom. According to the Daily Mail, she sold her $3.6 million Art Deco house in Brighton and her $5 million Tudor manor house in East Grinstead. However, she still has an $11 million apartment in west London with a 24-hour concierge and a climate-controlled wine store. In 2021, she purchased a mews house and a townhouse in Kensington for over $13 million and combined them into a mansion for another $3.1 million.
Why did Adele become 'disillusioned' with Hollywood?
Adele was thought to be setting down her roots in the United States when she first purchased her Beverly Hills home, with sources telling the Daily Mail at the time that the singer was considering transitioning to acting.
An insider shared that Adele took "'intense acting lessons from a top Hollywood coach" and "instructed" her team to "put the word out" to "major film studios and producers."
"She thought she’d already be getting movie offers after her reps put the word out a few months ago that she wanted to follow in Lady Gaga’s footsteps and segue into film," they shared. "But nothing has materialized on that front so far."
The experience left her "disillusioned" with Hollywood, and may have played a role in her wishing to relocate to the UK.
