Gary Graham: Actor known for ‘Star Trek’ and 'Alien Nation' dies at 73, leaving family 'devastated'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gary Graham, who played Soval in 'Star Trek: Enterprise', has died unexpectedly at the age of 73.
He died on Monday due to cardiac arrest at a hospital in Spokane, Washington, as confirmed by his wife, Becky Graham, to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lavelle posted three photos of Graham and wrote, “It is with deep profound sadness to say that Gary Graham, my ex-husband, amazing actor and father of our beautiful only child together, Haylee Graham, has passed away today."
She said they were “completely devastated especially our daughter Haley. His wife, Becky, was by his side.”
She also shared how they met and praised his personality and achievements. “I met Gary when I was just 20 years old and he was one half of the star duo on the TV series 'Alien Nation'. But he had already been in movies like 'All the Right Moves' with Tom Cruise," she said.
Gary Graham's family said his death was 'sudden'
"Of course, Gary has many more credits,” she continued. She added, “Gary was funny, sarcastic sense of humor but kind, fought for what he believed in, a devout Christian and was so proud of his daughter, Haylee.”
She asked fans to pray for their daughter and thanked Graham for their journey. “This was sudden so please pray for our daughter as she navigates through this thing called grief,” she said.
She concluding the statement by saying, “Fly high into the heavens Gar! Thank you for our journey and thank you for the gifts you left me in acting, my love of horses and most importantly, our daughter.”
Gary Graham’s memorable roles in 'Star Trek' and 'Alien Nation'
Graham was best known for his recurring role as Soval, the Vulcan ambassador to Earth in 'Star Trek: Enterprise.'
He portrayed the character over 12 episodes from 2001 to 2005 in 'Star Trek: Enterprise' from 2001-05 recurring as Ambassador Soval, a Vulcan ambassador to Earth.
He portrayed the first officer Ragnar in 'Star Trek: Of Gods and Men' (2007) and 'Star Trek: Renegades' from 2015-17, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The talented actor was also the star of the television series 'Alien Nation' over all 22 episodes which aired over one season from 1989 to 1990. He played Detective Matthew Sikes, a human cop who partnered with an alien officer. He reprised his role in five 'Alien Nation' television films which aired from 1994 to 1997.

Graham had a long and diverse career in TV and film. He starred in several shows such as ‘M.A.N.T.I.S.,’ ‘JAG,’ ‘Universal Dead’ and others.
He also guest starred on many popular shows such as ‘Renegades,’ ‘Work Related,’ ‘Nip/Tuck,’ ‘Nash Bridges,’ ‘Walker, Texas Ranger,’ ‘The Dukes of Hazzard,’ ‘Ally McBeal’, and more.
He also had roles in various films such as ‘The Spy Within,’ ‘The Last Warrior,’ ‘The Arrogant,’ ‘All the Right Moves,’ ‘Robot Jox,’ ‘Steel’ and many others.
He is survived by his daughter, Haylee. The family did not reveal the cause of his death or any other details. Haylee wrote in her tribute, "This hurts like something I’ve never felt before, please tell your parents you love them. God has made Himself known through all of this in such amazing ways and I know you are smiling this big with Jesus by your side. May angels bring you in. I love you so much, Dad."
