‘One Life To Live’ and ‘Call Of Duty' star Kamar de los Reyes dies at 56 after short fight with cancer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kamar de los Reyes, a versatile actor known for his roles in film, TV, and video games, passed away on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24.
Reyes died in Los Angeles after a short fight with cancer, his family’s representative told Deadline. He was 56 years old.
Kamar de los Reyes: A prolific career in entertainment
De los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Las Vegas. He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1980s to pursue his acting dream.
He had a long and diverse career that spanned over three decades.

Reyes was best known for playing Antonio Vega on the ABC soap opera ‘One Life To Live,' for which he received a Daytime Emmy Special Fan Award nomination in 2002 with Sherri Saum.
He also voiced the villainous Raul Menendez in the popular video game series ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops.'
He also featured in various other projects, including the off-Broadway play 'Blade to the Heat,' the Shakespeare in the Park production of 'The Tempest,' and films such as 'Nixon,' 'Salt,' 'The Cell,' 'Love and Suicide,' 'Cayo,' 'LA Apocalypse,' and 'Amelia 2.0.'

Kamar de los Reyes was a passionate advocate for Puerto Rico
De los Reyes stayed true to his roots and reportedly played a significant role in the relief efforts for Puerto Rico following the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017.
He used his platform to raise awareness and funds for the recovery of his homeland.

In addition to his extensive run on 'One Life To Live,' de los Reyes took on a role as a gang leader in the two-part Season 3 finale of 'Blue Bloods.'
He also had stints in 'SEAL Team,' 'MacGyver,' 'The Gifted,' 'Shooter,' 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent,' 'CSI: Miami,' 'The Mentalist,' 'Touched By an Angel' and 'Early Edition.'
He also played a role alongside Annabeth Gish and fellow soap star Daniel Cosgrove in the 2001 TV movie 'The Way She Moves.'
Kamar de los Reyes had ongoing projects at the time of his death
At the time of his passing, de los Reyes had several projects in the works. He had filmed a part for Hulu’s upcoming limited series ‘Washington Black,' featuring Sterling K Brown, and secured a role in Marvel’s upcoming ‘Daredevil’ series on Disney+.

He also held recurring roles on Fox’s ‘Sleepy Hollow,' ABC’s ‘The Rookie,’ and the CW’s ‘All American.’ At the time of his passing, he was still actively involved in filming, portraying the character of Coastal California University’s Coach Montes in 'All American.'
He is survived by his wife, Sherri Saum; his three sons, Caylen, Michael, and John; his parents, Walfredo and Matilde; his brothers, Daniel and Walfredo, Jr; and his sisters, Lily and Ilde.
