LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tisa Farrow, who starred in films such as 'Homer', 'Fingers', 'And Hope to Die', died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 72 on Wednesday, January 10.
Her sister Mia Farrow paid a touching tribute to her on Instagram, calling her "the best of us."

Mia Farrow, the acclaimed actress of 'Rosemary's Baby' and 'The Great Gatsby', shared the heartbreaking news of her sister Tisa Farrow's death on Wednesday, January 10.
She posted a vintage photo of her and Tisa along with a long and emotional message. "If there is a Heaven, undoubtedly my beautiful sister Tisa is being welcomed there," Mia wrote.
"She was the best of us — I have never met a more generous and loving person. She loved life & never complained. Ever," she added.
"She died unexpectedly yesterday morning. Apparently in her sleep," she further said, adding "This is a hard time for all of us who admire and love her so deeply."

Mia's son Ronan Farrow, a producer and actor, also expressed his grief on his Instagram Story, saying, "Miss you, Auntie Tisa," People reports.
Tisa Farrow's life and career in Hollywood
Tisa Farrow was born Theresa Magdalena Farrow on July 22, 1951, to Irish actress Maureen O'Sullivan and Australian director John Farrow.

She was the youngest of seven siblings, including Mia Farrow. She made her film debut in 1970, playing Laurie Grainger in the drama Homer.
In a New York Times profile in 1970, she discussed about her family connections in the entertainment industry. “None of the girls are alike—but we all like each other,” she told the Times. “Mia is the strongest. She has a very strong character and is unsinkable," she told the publication.
She then appeared in several movies, such as 'And Hope to Die' (1972), 'Fingers' (1978), 'Winter Kills' (1979) and 'Manhattan' (1979), directed by Mia's former partner Woody Allen.
According to IMDB, she gave an especially charming performance as sweet innocent "Jennifer" in the marvelously offbeat 'Some Call It Loving' (1973).
Her last film roles were in 1980, as Julie Foster in the horror film 'Anthropophagus' and Jane Foster in the war film 'The Last Hunter.'
Before that, she had staring roles as Anne Bowles in 'Zombie' (1979) and The Grim Reaper (1980). She then retired from acting and pursued a career as a nurse for 27 years, according to Mia's post.
Tisa Farrow's family and friends send their condolences
Tisa Farrow was a mother to three children: Jason, who died in Iraq, Bridget and Kylor.
She was also a loving sister to Mia, Steffi and Prudence. Mia wrote that Tisa's children and grandson were "the lights of her life."
Many celebrities and fans commented on Mia's post, offering their sympathy and support. Elizabeth Perkins said, "I am so deeply and terribly sorry." Molly Ringwald wrote, "I'm so sorry." Tatum O'Neal, Frances Fisher and Lesley Ann Warren also sent their prayers and love to Mia and her family.
Donna Murphy wrote, "Sending you my love and condolences dear Mia. To you and all of Tisa’s dear ones."
