Hugh Jackman recalls Beyonce’s emotional Met Gala moment
Beyonce attended the annual haute couture fundraising event with her husband Jay-Z and their 14-year-old daughter.
Recalling the moment during Nicks’ performance, Jackman said on May 6, “Sabrina Carpenter gets up, and Stevie Nicks comes out. Stevie Nicks came out and sang.”
“I'm gonna do some more name dropping, but there was Beyonce and Rihanna and I look over and Beyonce was just hitting her daughter, who was there, and just had tears in her eyes. I was like, that moment right there, that was priceless,” the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ star added.
Beyonce felt 'surreal' as Blue Ivy attended Met Gala
Meanwhile, this year’s gala marked Nicks’ debut at the event as she performed songs like ‘Edge of Seventeen’ and ‘Gypsy’. She also performed with Sabrina Carpenter, singing ‘Landslide’ and ‘Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow’.
Apart from the 77-year-old singer’s debut, the gala was also special for Beyonce's family, as her daughter made her debut alongside her famous parents.
“It feels surreal because my daughter is here. She looks so beautiful. It's incredible to be able to share it with her, and I think she looks incredible,” the proud mother reportedly said in an interview before adding, “She was ready. She is ready.”
The entertainer further noted that “it's really just experiencing this through the eyes of Blue and being able to relax.”
Beyonce slays at Met Gala in skeleton dress
This year’s Met Gala theme was ‘Fashion is Art,’ and Beyonce nailed it by wearing a gorgeous crystal-bedazzled skeleton outline on a nude skin-tight dress, along with a luxurious diamond headpiece, all designed by Olivier Rousteing.
Her daughter also stunned on the red carpet as she donned a white Balenciaga gown along with a puff-sleeve jacket and diamond jewelry.
Blue Ivy matched her footwear with her superstar mother’s sparkly gown and also wore a pair of cat-eye sunglasses to add more glam to her appearance.
