Hugh Jackman's 'faint smile drops' as he shares selfie amid split from Deborra-Lee Furness
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After splitting from Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman adopted a 'rather sad look' in place of his previous 'optimism' in his recent Instagram image.
After posting a few selfies on social media, the 55-year-old actor alarmed several of his followers by appearing agitated in the pictures. Hugh appeared in the photos wearing a light blue pullover and a pair of reflective aviator sunglasses.

Hugh appeared to be attempting to be joyful
The post was labeled 'Entirely too close. #moods' by him. Hugh appeared to frown in the second picture rather than smile in the first. He appeared to be attempting to be joyful, but in the end, according to body language expert Judi James, he failed.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Judi explained: "Hugh does look rather sad here and what looks like an attempt at a more good-humored facial expression seems to wither on the vine as his features pucker into a frown and his mouth goes from a faint curling up of the lips to being set in a more severe straight line."
She added, "Hugh is the one Hollywood celebrity who always looks amenable and optimistic so any straightening of his facial expression is going to look dramatic. His brows become drawn together here, causing strong crease lines at the bridge of his nose here and the lines deepen at either side of his mouth as his faint smile drops."
Expert says, 'Eye expression might be more cheery behind them'
She added that his sunglasses could not hide his dejected appearance. "His eyes are hidden by the reflective shades but it’s hard to imagine from the shaping and muscle movements of the rest of his face that his eye expression might be more cheery behind them," Judi continued.
In September of this year, Hugh and Deborra-Lee Furness, his wife of 27 years, made their split public. The couple released a joint statement, "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
Both Hugh and Deborra got to know each other when they starred in an Australian television program in 1995. After only a few weeks of dating, Hugh realized they would 'be together for the rest of our lives'.
Since his divorce, Hugh has been spotted hanging out with his famous pals, including Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively. The newest Deadpool picture, which Ryan and Hugh are filming, is currently in production.
