Hunter Biden's ex-wife and GF's testimonies claiming he did drugs ‘every 20 minutes' stun Internet
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: In the Hunter Biden's federal gun trial on June 5, the first son's ex-wife informed the jury that her husband "was not himself" when he used crack cocaine but that he was still able to function, the New York Post reports.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden's son was described by a former girlfriend as a regular-seeming addict who used the drug "every 20 minutes."
The testimony of Kathleen Buhle and Zoe Kestan undermined Hunter Biden’s defense team's claims that his conduct of being overly composed proves he wasn’t experiencing a drug relapse on October 12, 2018, the day he purchased a.38 caliber revolver.
Hunter Biden admitted to ex-wife Kathleen Buhle that he smoked crack
During her nearly 25-minute testimony, Kathleen Buhle, who was married to Hunter Biden from 1993 until 2017, detailed the moment she knew her husband was abusing the highly addictive street narcotic.
“I found a crack pipe on July 3, 2015, in an ashtray on the side porch of our home,” she claimed regarding the discovery in their Washington DC residence.
“I went looking for my husband and asked him what it was,” Buhle stated when she was on the stand. “He said it was a crack pipe. He acknowledged smoking crack.” She felt Hunter had been using drugs prior to that, as the younger Biden was booted out of the Navy just a year earlier after testing positive for cocaine.
“I was worried, scared,” Buhle recalled. “He was not himself. He was angry, short-tempered, acting in ways he hadn’t when he was sober.”
Buhle, who has three daughters with Hunter, claimed she began regularly inspecting the family car for drugs and drug paraphernalia so their children would not discover proof of their father's drug abuse or run into trouble with the law if pulled over by cops.
Months after their divorce was finalized, she kept up the routine from 2015 through 2019, claiming to have discovered drugs in the family car multiple times..
Buhle mentioned that Hunter was able to work and socialize with friends and family despite his addiction.
However, she revealed that there were occasions when she could tell he was high when others did not, and that he attempted to hide his problem from friends and family deliberately. Buhle also stated that Hunter drank and used narcotics at the same time.
Hunter Biden’s ex Zoe Kestan claims he smoked crack 'every 20 minutes'
Brooklyn native Zoe Kestan, known for her social media moniker weed_slut_420, testified under the promise of immunity, and said she met Hunter in December 2017 at a Manhattan gentlemen's club where she worked part-time.
She claimed that as she and another woman performed a 30-minute private dance for Hunter, the First Son opened a sliding door to the private area and smoked crack through it. Kestan mentioned that she was 24 years old at the time, while Hunter was 48.
Kestan and Hunter reconnected in January 2018 at the Soho Grand Hotel in Manhattan. During their five days together, Hunter smoked crack "every twenty minutes or so," according to Kestan.
Although she recalled witnessing him clean out his crack pipe with chopsticks or a disassembled pen, as well as purchasing a "ping-pong ball"-sized amount of the drug at a Four Seasons hotel from a dealer named Frankie, Kestan claimed she was a "distraction" for Hunter and that she helped to curb his regular use somewhat.
She further stated that Hunter "used cash for a lot of things. I know a good amount of it was for buying drugs.” Hunter could issue a one-time code through his Wells Fargo bank account, allowing others to withdraw money, the ex-girlfriend explained.
Hunter once handed her a code, and she witnessed him giving one to his dealer in California. Kestan commented on Hunter's ability to appear normal when high, despite defense attorney Abbe Lowell's assertion the previous day that "there is no such thing as high-functioning crack addicts."
“I thought to myself, ‘It’s crazy his demeanor doesn’t seem to be changing,'” she remarked. “I never saw an immediate change in his behavior, which really confused me.” Although Hunter seemed normal at first glance, Kestan revealed that in their nine months together, she had witnessed him misplace or smash his phone five or six times.
During a visit at the Four Seasons during New York Fashion Week in February 2018, Hunter talked about getting clean taking advantage of a South American treatment called Kambo, which involves rubbing venom from the Amazon-based giant leaf frog on the skin to relieve cravings.
Kestan had hoped the unorthodox treatment would be effective, but she testified that Hunter was still abusing drugs at their next meeting in early March.
In November 2018, when their relationship ended, Hunter made another attempt to sober up. Soon thereafter, he underwent ketamine therapy on Plum Island, Massachusetts, but Kestan added that he was still getting high and had asked her to assist him in procuring cocaine, at the time.
Kestan agreed, reconnected with old college classmates from the Rhode Island School of Design, and the couple headed to the Ocean State on November 19, 2018. While there, Kestan took Hunter on a tour of the Providence campus, where one of the Biden daughters was considering enrolling.
Kestan claimed it was the last time they saw each other, except Hunter sent her an elaborate text message a few weeks later, saying, “I’m sitting here on a f**king island by myself trying to beat the devil out of me … I will always be an addict.”
