Elsa Pataky was once doubtful about future of her marriage with Chris Hemsworth
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elsa Pataky once revealed she initially had doubts about her marriage with Chris Hemsworth.
Just a week after Hemsworth thanked his wife for putting her “own dreams” aside to support his career, an old interview of Pataky, 47, is doing the rounds of the internet where she reflected on her marriage with the Marvel star, per Daily Mail.
Elsa Pataky doubted whether her marriage with Chris Hemsworth would last
During an interview with Vogue Australia in 2018, the ‘Interceptor’ actress reflected on her marriage with Hemsworth.
The couple got married in 2010 just three months after their agent set them up. As the couple had a whirlwind romance, the Spanish model had doubts about the future of their relationship.
Pataky said, “It was beautiful in the beginning,” before adding, “When I met him, he wasn't known at all and I grew with him and experienced all his successes and changes, and then he became just so huge and I've been sharing that too.”
The ‘Tidelands’ star shared that as a young couple, they faced the challenges of transitioning to stardom while raising a family.
Pataky shared, “We did everything very quickly—I don't know how we survived as a couple. We were married and then a year after we had kids.”
“It puts a lot of pressure on a marriage, but we came out good because there is a lot of love between us and we are powerful personalities but love each other so much,” continued the star before declaring emphatically, “We make it work.”
After their marriage in 2010, the couple welcomed their first daughter India in May 2012.
They went on to welcome their twin boys Sasha and Tristan in March 2014.
Chris Hemsworth praised Elsa Pataky during Hollywood Walk of Fame event
Not only Pataky but Hemsworth praised his wife as he accepted his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 23.
The ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ star wholeheartedly thanked his wife for holding the fort while he was out there for his work, per People.
"I want to say thank you to my beautiful wife, who has been here for my entire career basically by my side, endlessly encouraging and supportive," said the ‘Thor’ actor.
He continued, "And it doesn't get lost on me that she put aside her own dreams in order to support mine and, again, [I am] forever in your debt."
"The fact [is] that nothing that I do, any of these moments, these special occasions and events, none of it is special without you by my side. I love you," gushed Hemsworth.
