In the image he shared, the singer from the 'Backstreet Boys' was pictured standing with his sister Bobbie Jean when she was a young child.

Carter expressed his deep sorrow, stating, "It may take a lifetime to fully process the loss my family has endured over the years – most recently, with the sudden passing of our sister Bobbie Jean. I am completely heartbroken," in a caption posted on Thursday, January 4.

“Thank you for all your love and kind words. We are reminded again that life is precious and fleeting and to cherish the time we have with the ones we love. I know she is finally at peace with God. I love you BJ,” he added.

As per TMZ report, the 41-year-old’s body was found in her Florida home on December 23. She was the third sibling who died untimely in the family. On November 5, 2022, Aaron died at age 34, after drowning in the bathtub.

The forensic report showed that he had inhaled difluoroethane and taking alprazolam, which is the generic version of Xanax.

A decade earlier Leslie Carter died at 25 due to a toxic combination of prescription medications.

Jane Carter on BJ's death!

Aaron's team informed DailyMail, expressing the difficulty the family has faced amid "such loss and tragedy." They conveyed, "We know Aaron is in heaven with his sisters and reunited."

The family further said in a statement, “On behalf of beloved Aaron Carter, his team sends condolences to his serving siblings, mother and extended family.”

“This year has definitely been one with such loss and tragedy. May you be filled with love and comfort from supporting fans and friends through this tough time. You are not alone. We know Aaron is in heaven with his sisters and reunited. May they rest in peace.”

TMZ reported Jane Carter's response to the heartbreaking loss of her third child, stating, "I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time."

He added, “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private. [H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.”
