'I love you so much': Kim Kardashian pays tribute to late aunt Karen Houghton who died at 65

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian has honored her late aunt Karen Houghton after she died unexpectedly at the age of 65.

The popular television personality posted throwback photos via Instagram on Thursday, March 21, writing, “🕊️I love you so much auntie Karen🕊️.”

In the heartwarming snaps, the 43-year-old held Houghton’s hand in front of the Christmas tree, sat with her on the couch, and played with her by the pool.

Kourtney Kardashian also commented “Auntie Karen ❤,” on the slideshow, per Page Six.

Kris Jenner previously revealed her sibling Karen Houghton’s death 

Kris Jenner revealed her sibling’s death in a lengthy social media upload on Tuesday, March 19, just a few days following Houghton's tragic demise.

“It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly,” the talent manager wrote via Instagram.

“My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time,” the 68-year-old continued. “Karen was beautiful inside and out."

“She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny. She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter. She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together,” read Jenner's post.

She concluded by reminding her followers that since “life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised … we must tell those we cherish how much we love them.”

Kris Jenner's niece Natalie Zettel also paid tribute to her late mother Karen Houghton

Jenner’s lesser-known niece Natalie Zettel also paid tribute to her late mother in her own post that same day.

The 26-year-old called Houghton her “best friend” and her “everything,” gushing, “I’m so grateful to have had a mother like you.”

Houghton’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but according to TMZ, it appears she died of natural causes. Despite Jenner's heartwarming post and kind words, it seems that the sibling duo was once estranged.

“Pray for Kris Jenner she needs it…crazy,” Houghton ranted on Facebook in April 2014, according to RadarOnline. ”Shes as [sic] nutcase. She doesn’t need prayers she needs sky vodka hahaha hahaha hahaha,” she added.

Houghton also claimed to the outlet at the time that her elder sister would not return her calls. “If you think your sister would call you back, she doesn’t,” she previously alleged, adding “And it hurts me. I don’t care how much money you have or who you are, you’re my sister. I’m not afraid of her. … I can’t get to her anymore. But I guess it’s the money.”

Houghton, at the time, also described Jenner as “not warm and fuzzy,” adding “She’s very serious.”
