'I see ‘em smiling': Bobby Brown reveals he often dreams about his late children Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown Jr

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Bobby Brown, the Grammy-winning 'New Edition' singer, continues to be haunted by the memories of his late children in his dreams.

Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, and son Bobby Brown Jr, 28, died in 2015 and 2020 respectively.

How did Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown Jr die?

Bobbi Kristina Brown died at age 22 in 2015, months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in the home she shared with her late boyfriend Nick Gordon.

It was similar to how her mother Whitney Houston nicknamed 'The Voice' died on February 11, 2012, the day before the Grammy Awards.

Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown recently commemorated the life of his daughter Kristina by hosting the fourth annual Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Gala: A Night of Inspiration, Empowerment, and Hope in Los Angeles on March 4, according to People.

"My daughter was a part of a domestic violence situation, and it cost her her life, so that's mainly why we did this," said Brown.

Nick Gordon, Kristina's late boyfriend died from a heroin overdose in 2020 at age 30.

Brown, also lost his son Bobby Brown Jr at age 28 to an accidental drug overdose in 2020.

Bobby Brown continues to dream about Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown Jr

Brown continues to dream about his deceased children to this day as he says, "That’s a reoccurring thing that goes on when I’m asleep."

He added, “I tend to dream about both of 'em, my son and my daughter, which is helpful for me. Just being able to see their faces and I see 'em smiling, it helps me out in a big way.”

Reflecting on the celebration of the life of Kristina, Brown said, “It meant everything to me...it’s just good to have support, to help try to eradicate domestic violence.”

“She’s always on my heart. She’s always on my mind, and just to help others in her honor really helps me, it’s therapeutic somewhat to me," he said.

What else is helping Bobby Brown?

Another thing helping Brown, who is father to five other children, is actual therapy.

“I still see a therapist,” he said, adding, “Just being able to talk about it definitely helps out."

Moreover, "prayer always works. And staying busy. I try to keep myself as busy as possible, doing different things," he said. A moment of joy recently has been New Edition’s renaissance.

The beloved R&B group was recently entered into the Hall of Fame at the NAACP Image Awards.

And soon their hit residency in Las Vegas will return for a second run at the Wynn Encore.

“It’s been a way for me to get myself in order,” he said about returning to the stage. “Being around my fellas was a lot of fun," People reported.
