Amy Robach reveals she wants Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb as her chosen interviewers on 'Amy & TJ'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Amy Robach wants her friends Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb to be the first television show hosts to conduct her interview after being fired along with her partner TJ Holmes from ABC News, reported The US Sun.
The former co-host of 'Good Morning America' shared her wish during a conversation with Holmes on the February 13 episode of their podcast, 'Amy & TJ.' The couple has been opening up with their listeners on the show, which was launched back in November 2023.
What did Amy Robach and TJ Holmes share about choice of interviewer?
Robach, 51, was put on the hot seat by 46-year-old Holmes, who asked her several questions about her personal life and career during the Tuesday podcast. Among them was one about who would be the former's choice to sit down with for an interview since their affair was made public.
"Hoda Kotb. Savannah Guthrie," she replied, explaining, "I've known them. I love them. I worked with them. I trust them, probably more than any other journalist because I know them."
According to the Sun, Holmes was not very confident of his girlfriend's choices from the get-go, as he hesitantly asked, "You going to do that one solo?"
He was reassured by Robach saying, "Well, you were just asking who I would pick. We would obviously have to have a larger conversation about that."
Holmes then reportedly joked, "I mean, I'm cool. Savannah's fine, but that Hoda. That sister, I don't know," before expressing his adoration for Kotb.
Amy Robach has been angry with her 'GMA' co-stars
In the same episode of their podcast, Robach claimed that her former co-workers had distanced themselves from the couple.
"There are people who I worked with every single day, who I thought I was close with, who then showed me who they were when they didn't check in ever. Not once," she stated.
Though no one was named in the podcast, the publication believes she especially meant 'GMA' co-host Robin Roberts, with whom she's had a close bond over the years.

Roberts reportedly did not take the affair of Robach and Holmes well. The couple was not invited to her wedding in September 2023, when she married her long-time partner Amber Laign. Earlier in February, Roberts did not even wish Robach on her birthday over social media, hinting that the rift was still there.
An insider source told The Sun, "(Robach) and Robin were far more than work colleagues, they shared a deep friendship... When their scandal came out, Robin could have gone to bat for them — she had the power to do that and they thought she would."
"Robin had the power to save Amy and TJ, she is that powerful at ABC, and she didn't. She could have made the case that despite everything they are two consenting adults, and they were separated, but she chose not to," they added.
