NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rapper O'Shea Jackson Sr, better known as Ice Cube, denied being a supporter of President-elect Donald Trump or his MAGA movement during his appearance on the 'The Baller Alert Show' podcast on Tuesday, November 19.

According to the Atlanta Black Star, the artist also confirmed that all reports alleging otherwise should be considered false and that they had left him in a messed up situation.

Ice Cube denies being a Donald Trump supporter

The conversation on the podcast covered a range of topics surrounding the rapper, from star basketball player Caitlin Clark and the contract he offered her to the new film in his 'Friday' franchise.

Most notably, Ice Cube addressed rumors that suggested he was a MAGA supporter and did not back Democratic nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

“People who think I’m MAGA or a Trump supporter… that I went out there and voted for the Republicans and all this, man, they got me f**ked up,” he told hosts Ferrari Simmons and You Know BT.

"I never said that. They have no proof," he continued. "I ain’t never endorsed a candidate. So, you know I just think they got me f**ked up and it’s just a narrative that’s wrong.”

Why was Ice Cube linked to Donald Trump?

According to the publication, the rapper was linked to Donald Trump and the MAGA movement as he was in contact with the business tycoon's 2020 presidential campaign when he presented them the “Contract with Black America.” It was a roadmap on what they could do to improve the lives of Black people in the United States.

Ice Cube had engaged with both Republicans and Democrats in that election cycle to have them address systemic inequalities affecting the lives of the Black community.

"Both parties came to me,” Cube told the hosts. “I didn’t go to them saying, ‘Look what I got, man. You should sit down and talk to me.’ Both of them came to me like, ‘Hey, you got an interesting document here. Can we discuss it with you?'”

The campaign for President Joe Biden had deferred talks till the election was over, while the Trump campaign had incorporated some of his ideas in their own "Platinum Plan". That sparked the rumors of Ice Cube being a Trump supporter.

Ice Cube clarified that he was completely non-partisan, and did not tell people who to vote for in the election. “You should get something for your vote and nothing is wrong with that," he noted.
