LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brian Cox is settling the debate on whether he will be seen in the ‘Succession’ flick! Leading from the front in four successful seasons, Cox commented, “We’ll see.”

The senior actor takes on the role of Logan Roy in the patriarchal family setup. At the BAFTA Tea Party held at the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday, January 20, he mentioned, “If it’s good enough and [series creator] Jesse Armstrong wants to do it, I might do it.”

Cox on not going beyond 'selling-date'

On his closure episode in ‘Succession,’ Cox felt, “What I love about it and what I love about Jesse Armstrong is we don’t go past our sell-by date,” he said.

“A lot of American shows do go past their sell-by dates. We’ve left people wanting. You always want to keep people wanting.”

On Kieran Culkin’s suggestion that Nicholas Braun’s character, Cousin Greg, could be a good spinoff, Cox has a different opinion, per Variety.

“I don’t think Nick Braun would want to do it either,” he said. “He’s going onto other things, which are really exciting for him.”

Cox was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a drama series for his character and shared he hadn’t prepared an acceptance speech for Monday, January 15.

“I don’t believe in them,” he said. “It will come naturally. It will be a natural thing. And if I don’t win, that’s the way it is.”

Cox's next project is 'Long Day’s Journey Into Night’

Cox will be taking the stage next in the starring role in ‘Long Day’s Journey Into Night.’

The production is anticipated to open at Wyndham’s Theatre in the spring, showcasing Cox in a new West End adaptation of Eugene O’Neill's work.

Brian Cox recently appeared on the late-night show to discuss his new online acting course for BBC Maestro. In this course, he shares "his unique methodology, providing tangible insights," as reported by MEAWW.

This "basic principle of acting," as Cox puts it, may appear elementary, but it encapsulates the wisdom gained from his extensive career in the field.

Cox is well-known for his forthright views on acting. Meyers highlighted one of the memorable lines from his course, reflecting Cox’s candid approach: "Just learn your f****** lines and don’t bump into the furniture."

He added, "That is the basic principle of acting. It’s all bollocks after that. But don’t bump into the furniture and learn your f****** lines."
