MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Ilhan Omar is back in the news once again. In a recent video clip, Omar appears visibly irritated when a reporter questions her about alleged Somali-linked fraud and claims regarding her citizenship status.

During the exchange, Omar sharply dismissed the reporter. She responded with a blunt remark, asking whether the question was “stupid,” before walking away. The reporter had raised concerns about the alleged Minnesota fraud case involving nearly $9billion.

Tim Walz’s name was also mentioned in connection with the investigation. Omar was further questioned about why she did not attend the Minnesota fraud hearing. She did not provide a direct answer.

Allegations related to her citizenship have resurfaced. Even Donald Trump has made public remarks suggesting she should be deported.

Ilhan Omar snaps at reporter amid questions over fraud and deportation

A video shared by LindellTV on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, January 14, has drawn widespread attention. The footage shows Ilhan Omar walking through a hallway in her usual manner.

She was approached by a female reporter from the channel, who questioned her about allegations she did not answer directly. The reporter confronted Ilhan Omar about Minnesota’s $9 billion fraud scandal. Omar repeatedly declined to give a clear response.

The female reporter asked, "Are you worried about a formal investigation leading to your deportation?" Omar responded, "Oh, you're one of THOSE people." The reporter followed up by asking, "Are you concerned?" Omar replied sharply, "Do I LOOK concerned?!"

The questioning continued, with the reporter stating, "There are allegations you're complicit in the fraud." Omar reacted by questioning the humongous figure mentioned by the reporter. She appeared to challenge whether the claim was true and continued awkwardly smiling throughout the exchange.

Without offering a direct answer, Ilhan Omar then asked, "Do you just ask stupid questions?!" She later shifted the discussion to Tim Walz. She commented that he would have been an “executive vice president” if circumstances had turned out differently. She was also asked about her citizenship and deportation from US, which Omar didn't clarify.

Allegations surrounding  Ilhan Omar’s citizenship return to the spotlight

The Minnesota Democratic congresswoman is under scrutiny after long-standing claims resurfaced alleging that she engaged in marriage and immigration fraud to obtain United States citizenship.

The controversy dates back to 2016 and centers on her 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, with critics alleging he is her brother, a claim Ilhan Omar has denied.

The issue regained attention after Trump referenced her immigration history at a rally and later on social media, suggesting she entered the country unlawfully and calling for further investigation.
