LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mayim Bialik announced on her social media that she won’t be part of the game show ‘Jeopardy!’ anymore.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ star revealed that she was informed about it by the producers of Sony Pictures Television, on Friday, December 15. “As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some 'Jeopardy!' news,” she began her post. “Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of 'Jeopardy!'," she added.

Mayim Bialik thanked 'Jeopardy!' for the host's role

The 48-year-old continued, “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the 'Jeopardy!' family.”

“For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show,

thank you," she said.

Bialik, along with co-host Ken Jennings, were nominated for Daytime Emmys for their roles after they filled in for the late Alex Trebek.

The makers Sony tapped Bialik and Jennings to split hosting duties of the hit game show in 2022, amid a long period of difficult transition.

“Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of 'Jeopardy!,'" said Sony’s spokesperson, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

“We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated 'Jeopardy!.' We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to 'Jeopardy!' and we hope to continue to work with her on primetime specials.”

Mike Richards had to resign as a co-host earlier at Jeopardy!

Mike Richards briefly hosted along with Bialik in 2021, before being fired over his pending lawsuits. “We had hoped that when Mike stepped down from the host position at Jeopardy! it would have minimized the disruption and internal difficulties we have all experienced these last few weeks,” wrote Suzanne Prete, a senior vice president at Sony Pictures Television in an internal note. “That clearly has not happened," she added.

“Mike has been with us for the last two years and has led the ‘Jeopardy!’ team through the most challenging time the show has ever experienced. It is our hope that as EP he will continue to do so with professionalism and respect,” the studio issued a statement on Richards stepping down as a host.

Meanwhile, Bialik has successfully hosted primetime specials such as ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!' and the college championship.
