PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: Todd Chrisley recently talked about the “disgustingly filthy” condition of the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, which includes tales about the dropping of a dead cat from the ceiling to the food of a prison inmate.

Almost a year after the ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ patriarch started serving his prison sentence in Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, the 54-year-old reality TV star shared about the pathetic condition of the prison in a telephonic interview conducted by NewsNation reporter Brian Entin.

‘It is so disgustingly filthy’

Chrisley, along with his wife Julie Chrisley, started serving their prison sentences in January after he was found guilty of tax evasion and defrauding community banks.

Since then, he has been working towards exposing the pathetic and unhygienic condition of the prison and the dire state in which the inmates are living.

He recalled a chilling incident when a dead cat fell from the ceiling to his plate and another fellow inmate's plate. He said that as the correctional officers were removing the black mold from the ceiling, the dead animal fell.

Continuing with his graphic description, Chrisley added that rats and squirrels run around in the storehouse where the inmates’ food is kept. "You’ve got rats — you’ve got squirrels in the storage facility where the food is. They just covered it up with plastic and tore the ceiling out because of all the black mold and found a dead cat in the ceiling that dropped down on top of the food."

He further alleged that the inmates are given expired food - some have expired probably a year ago.

He dissed the prison saying, “It is so disgustingly filthy,” before adding, “The food is literally, I’m not exaggerating this, the food is dated,” per RadarOnline.

He continued, “It’s out of date by at a minimum a year. It’s a year past expiration,” while alleging the prison authorities are starving the inmates by limiting their calories intake to only 1000.

Chrisley said, “They are literally starving these men to death here,” before adding, “These men are getting, I don’t know, they’re getting 1000 calories a day.”

He continued to talk about his grievances against the prison as he used to buy food items initially from the prison commissary. He alleges the woman responsible for overseeing the supply allotment is trying to “break” him by limiting the number of items he can purchase.

He said, “So, before she came here you could buy 12 packs of tuna a week and she cut it down to six and then it went from six to three,” quickly adding, “She had not given a reason.”

Elsewhere, in the interview, Chrisley talked about the not-so-pleasant treatment he has been receiving from the prison guards.

Chrisley added, "There are recordings of staff members here talking about, ‘He needs to be humbled. What we need to do is put him in diesel therapy and put him in shackles," per Decider.

He continued, "Let him ride around the country for a time, and then bring him back and that will humble him. He thinks he’s in one of his mansions that he’s used to living in. But this is f**king BOP [Bureau of Prisons]. That’s what he’ll need."
