Kim Kardashian's short-lived romance with Odell Beckham Jr is reportedly over as insiders shared with People recently that the romance has "fizzled out." While Kardashian sparked romance rumors with the NFL star last September, that was not the first time in 2023 that the mother-of-four gave rise to speculation of her dating an athlete. Over the summer, rumors were abound over her alleged romance with NFL legend Tom Brady.
1. Rumor starts at Michael Rubin’s epic Fourth of July party
The rumor of the attraction between Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady's romance started during Michael Rubin's Fourth of July "white-themed" party. Some partygoers shared that the pair was being “super flirty with each other.” However, some other sources dismissed the rumor and shared with Entertainment Tonight, “Kim and Tom have friends and business partners in common, but they are not dating." Another source shared, "Tom and Kim have been in touch because Kim is looking to buy property where Tom has a vacation home," before adding they were "just friends."
2. Michael Rubin dismisses the rumor
Michael Rubin, a friend of Tom Brady, too dismissed the rumor saying, "Honestly, they're just friends,” before adding, “It's just the crazy rumors that get out there.” He explained per Elle, “Tom was with me a ton of the night and we were having fun, and Tom just doesn't go out that much. It's a rare sighting. And Kim doesn't drink much. So I think Kim's 10 or 12 shots she had, [and] Tom, you know, being fun, it just leads to rumors. We always want to laugh about it.”
3. Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian reconnect at Reform Alliance Charity Auction
Per Page Six, Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian reconnected again in October during the Reform Alliance Charity Auction in Atlantic City. Though Brady dated Irina Shayk from July, it was rumored that the pair split in September (they rekindled their romance later nevertheless). At the charity auction, Brady and Kardashian engaged in a fun and "flirty" bidding war regarding a George Condo painting, per The Hollywood Gossip. After the SKIMS founder started the bidding by placing a sum of $500,000, the athlete joined the war.
4. They are just friends
While some of the onlookers termed the bidding war to be "flirty," other sources shared it was just "friendly." The lengthy bidding war finally came to an end when the organizers intervened and Brady took home the painting. The artist said he would create another painting for Kardashian as a commissioned work. Even after the event was over, it was said that the reality star and the athlete caught up in a long conversation in the ballroom of the venue.
5. Kanye West was reportedly jealous
Though the mutual attraction between the NFL star and the businesswoman was just being speculated by fans, Kardashian's former husband Kanye West was reportedly left jealous by the rumors. Sources said, the rapper “has been jealous over the reports about Kim and Tom," per Elle.
6. Gisele Bundchen reportedly took the news with a grain of salt
While Kim's ex-spouse was said to be feeling jealous, Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bundchen was reportedly "taking everything with a grain of salt.” Sources close to her said, “Her main focus is to have a healthy and balanced co-parenting relationship with Tom,” before adding, “She wishes him the best and wants him to be happy.”
