LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former President Donald Trump's recent recommendations for leadership changes within the Republican National Committee (RNC) have stirred controversy, especially concerning his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.

Trump has endorsed Lara Trump for the role of RNC co-chair. As Trump seeks greater influence within the party, Lara Trump's comments on Fox News have ignited criticism online.

Lara Trump calls for RNC's singular focus on Donald Trump's presidency

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Lara Trump expressed her belief that the RNC's primary goal should be to ensure the election of Donald J Trump as the 47th President of the United States.

She stated, “And I will tell you what the RNC should have one goal and one focus and that is ensuring that the leader of the Republican Party, Donald J Trump is elected as the 47th President of the United States and we are able to save this country."

"Here's what I can assure you, any person walking into the door of the RNC with any other goal in mind will be shown the door, if I were elected to this position as co-chair of the RNC."

This statement has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with users expressing concerns about the perceived narrowing of the party's objectives and the potential implications for a broader representation of interests within the GOP.

While Donald Trump's recommendations for leadership changes, including proposing Michael Whatley for RNC Chair, have been seen as part of his efforts to solidify control over the party, Lara Trump's remarks have intensified debates about the party's direction and priorities.

Lara Trump faces backlash

Lara Trump's remarks strirred discussions on social media, suggesting a division among Republican supporters regarding the party's role and priorities.

Some view Lara Trump's statement as a commitment to maintaining loyalty to Donald Trump, while others express reservations about the potential impact on the party's inclusivity and ability to address a wide range of issues beyond a single personality.

One user wrote, "Show me the money. You are about to give Trump."

Another added,"In other words - "I'm gonna take every penny of RNC money and give it to Donald tRump. Every other race around the country can suck it."

One commented, "I am not surprised."

One replied, "Gee, I’m sure those 18 Republican House members who are running in Biden strongholds love to hear this."
