WASHINTON, DC: Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County, declared on Saturday, March 23, that she was 'not embarrassed' by the months-long legal battle over her intimate relationship with a special prosecutor.

She asserted that 'the train is coming' for former President Donald Trump in his Georgia election interference case, according to the New York Post.

Notably, Willis stated that her office has been diligently working on mounting its case over the past two months of hearings and legal processes over her relationship.

Willis informed CNN at an Atlanta-area Easter basket giveaway, "While that was going on, we were writing responsive briefs, we were still doing the case in a way that it needed to be done. I don’t feel like we’ve been slowed down at all. I do think there are efforts to slow down this train, but the train is coming."

She added, "We’re not going to miss or skip a beat because of all the noise or distraction on one case. We’re going to continue to do our work."

Moreover, Willis denied that her reputation had been harmed by the country learning about her relationship.

She said, "I’m not embarrassed by anything I’ve done. I guess my greatest crime is I had a relationship with a man, but that’s not something I find embarrassing in any way. And I know that I have not done anything that’s illegal."

Notably, a judge previously decided that when her partner and former lead prosecutor Nathan Wade quit the case, Willis may proceed with her prosecution of Trump and 14 co-defendants for allegedly attempting to rig the 2020 election.

Moreover, before the trial began, Trump and the other seven co-defendants who wanted to remove Willis from office did not automatically have the right to file an appeal. Nevertheless, recognizing the significance of the case, McAfee approved the unusual step.

Internet trolls Fani Willis for her statement
