Internet demands Alec Baldwin’s mugshot as Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is convicted of involuntary manslaughter
SANTA FE, MEXICO: As Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s mugshot goes viral on social media, many internet users are asking for Alec Baldwin’s mugshot too.
Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer of the ‘Rust’ movie, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter on Wednesday, March 6, for her role in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film in October 2021.
She faces at least 18 months in prison, while Baldwin, who shot the from the prop gun, awaits his trial in July.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed showed no emotion as the verdict was read
Gutierrez-Reed’s trial lasted for almost two weeks and the jury reached a verdict in just two and a half hours, according to NBC News.
She was also cleared of a charge of tampering with evidence after the prosecution alleged that she gave a bag of cocaine to someone else after a police interview to hide it from the authorities.
According to the video and reports from the Santa Fe, Mexico courtroom, the 'Rust' armorer did not react much as the jury foreperson announced the verdicts.
She removed a necklace before a deputy took her into custody. Her mother, who was sitting behind her, put her hands on her head and leaned forward as the judge ordered her daughter to be held in custody until sentencing.

But Gutierrez-Reed’s attorney, Jason Bowles asked in court that she be allowed to remain free during her pending sentencing as she has voluntarily appeared at every hearing and court appearance.
However, Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer declined and ordered her held.
“The reason why I’m going to remand you is you are now convicted, and this is a death,” Judge Sommer said. “It’s criminal negligence, but it’s still a death.”
Halyana Hutchins’ family hopes for justice for everyone involved
Hutchins’ family stated after the verdict that they "look forward" to everyone else responsible for her death being held accountable - an apparent reference to Baldwin, who faces trial for involuntary manslaughter of Hutchins.
Baldwin, 65, will be tried in the same courthouse and could face the same sentence if convicted.
"Halyna’s parents and her sister have always wanted everyone who is responsible for Halyna’s death to be held accountable," the family’s lawyers Gloria Allred and John Carpenter said.
"Today was the first trial and conviction in the criminal justice process. We are satisfied that the jury, based on the evidence, found Hannah Gutierrez-Reed guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for her part in the taking of Halyna’s life," he added.
"We look forward to the justice system continuing to make sure that everyone else who is responsible for Halyna’s death is required to face the legal consequences for their actions," the statement ended.
Baldwin was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter but the charges were dropped in April last year.
He was surprisingly charged again last month and again pleaded not guilty. He maintains that he never pulled the trigger of the prop gun.
Internet users question Baldwin’s role and responsibility
Meanwhile, the Internet is demanding Alec Baldwin’s mugshot too as one commented on X, “Alec Baldwin should be in prison.”
Another wrote, “Where is Alex’s mug shot?”
“Cringe. Baldwin is a producer and the one who made a shot,” another Tweet read.
One more wrote, “I guess the only thing that really bothers me about this is there’s a few other people who should also have mugshots for this but they don’t.”
One said, “I feel a little bad for her being remanded right away.”
“Feels like she was the sacrificial lamb of this story. Oh well. It will be something to tell her grandchildren,” wrote one more.
“I Don’t agree with this one. More people should be there with her. That Seth guy is guilty as hell,” another user wrote in an apparent reference to Alec Baldwin.
