WASHINGTON, DC: After Donald Trump's controversial strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, public backlash has taken a personal turn, with growing calls for his 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, to enlist in the US Army.

The internet has been quick to draw sharp comparisons between the president's history of draft deferments during the Vietnam War and Barron's current eligibility for military service, fueling a wave of pointed criticism and online debate.

After Donald Trump ordered the deployment of B-2 bombers to strike Iran's critical uranium enrichment site at Fordow, bypassing congressional approval, the internet erupted with demands that his 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, join the US military.

One X user tweeted, "If Trump decides USA should get involved in a ground war in Iran, I assume Baron will be enlisting since Trump family has so much love and support for our troops? Be a patriot!"

"Barron trump should be the first young American to be deployed in donald trump’s war against Iran," a user declared.

One netizen questioned, "It's me just. Checking in again to see if Barron Trump joined the military yet??? You can't pay anyone off in the military so that is why there has never been a Trump serve. Daddy started a war shouldn't his boys be in it?????"

A user posted, "If the Trump family really cared about the US military, Barron Trump would enlist."

A commenter shared, "What a show of patriotism it would be if Barron Trump were to serve now! So it'll never happen as they'd rather risk the lives of your children. Maga created this s**t show."

A user believed, "I assume Barron Trump has already made his way to the enlistment office!"

A commenter remembered, "Barron Trump is 18 tomorrow and eligible to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces. Just saying."

An X user quipped, "I agree. I believe it’s high time that the wealthy should be able to be the first deployed to the front line and see how many wars are voided then. Barron Trump should be deployed to the front lines immediately no excuses."

One individual wrote, "Trump men have been doing shifty things to avoid military service for generations. Time for Barron to step up and break the cycle!"

"Let Barron lead the troops. First trump ever to serve," another netizen commented.

"Yes, none of Trump children have served this country. Barron and be first Trump member. He should be in front line," a commenter noticed.

Trump once reportedly avoided serving in the Vietnam war

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that individual judges cannot grant nationwide injunctions to block executive orders, including the injunction on President Trump’s effort to eliminate birthright citizenship in the U.S. The justices did not rule on Trump’s order to end birthright citizenship but stopped his order from taking effect for 30 days. It is worth mentioning that Donald Trump's family has a history of avoiding military service while supporting or initiating military action, as per Irish Star. During the Vietnam War, Trump secured five deferments, four for educational reasons and a fifth, after graduation, for a claimed bone spur.

According to his former lawyer Michael Cohen, Trump privately admitted that he had fabricated the injury to avoid being drafted.

Testifying under oath before Congress in 2019, Cohen recalled, "He told me not to answer the specific questions by reporters but rather offer simply the fact that he received a medical deferment."

When Cohen pressed Trump for medical records, Trump provided none and admitted there had been no surgery. “You think I’m stupid?” Trump allegedly told him. “I wasn’t going to Vietnam.”
